Hydro Thunder Cheats For Dreamcast

  1. Extra Track

    Before you start a game, head to the Options menu and highlight back. Press up, up, down, up, down, down, start and you will open another secret track!

  2. Hidden Practice Track

    If you dig into the game's code, you'll find a hidden track named PRACTICE in 1ST_READ.BIN. It has lots of obstacles and assets for the sake of getting players acclimated to the gameplay mechanics.

  3. Dev Team Note

    If you dig into the game's code, you'll find a dev note at 0xBAC8C in 1ST_READ.BIN. It proclaims that "James Cameron Rules" and is followed by an expletive.

  4. Boost Jump

    After picking up some boost power-ups, you can do a special jump without the help of a ramp. If you hold the L-Trigger (brake) then Press A, you will be boosted into the air. This is great for getting those power-ups that are just out of reach.

  5. Fishing Boat

    To race in a fishing boat, unlock all the hidden tracks first. Then, at the Boat Selection screen, highlight Thresher and then hold the L and R buttons and press View twice. Then select Chumdinger and you will race in a fishing boat.

  6. Clean Pause

    Pause the game and when the game is paused, press the X and Y buttons simultaneously.

  7. Super Start

    To get a jump start on the competition, wait until the announcer starts counting down. Immediately after he says, 'three', press and hold the R-Trigger. Immediately after he says, 'two', let go of R-Trigger and hold L-Trigger. Immediately after he says, 'one', let go of L-Trigger and hold the R-Trigger. When he says, 'Go, go, go!', you will get a nice boost and you'll hear 'Super Start!'

Hydro Thunder Cheats For Arcade Games

  1. Hydro Jumps

    The key to mastering Hydro Thunder is learning to use Hydro Jumps effectively. To perform one of these jumps, pull the Throttle into the Reverse position, then press the Boost button while holding the Throttle in Reverse. You must have Boost fuel in order to perform a Hydro Jump, and the amount of time you hold down the Boost button determines how high you will go. Hydro Jumps are effective for clearing obstacles, grabbing boosts, and reaching certain shortcuts.

  2. Super Starts

    To start a race with a burst of speed, hold the Throttle in the neutral position between Full and Back during the countdown. When the number ''1'' starts to disappear, quickly move the Throttle into the Forward position.

    Enter this code at the boat selection screen. You must enter it before you select your boat.

    Hold the Low + Pilot view buttons and pull the throttle to the Reverse position until you hear a confirmation chime. You will now be playing in a Time Trial mode without computer opponents.
