Luigi's Mansion Cheats For GameCube

Hidden Mansion (Ura-Yashiki) Mode
Rescue Mario and finish the game once. You will get ranked according to how you did and receive a letter grade. Save your game. You now have the option to restart Luigi's two ways (in addition to going to the completed Gallery). The first option lets you go back to the regular Luigi's Mansion Mode. The second option, called Ura-Yashiki (Hidden Mansion) in Japanese, lets you restart the game -- and presumably some of the things in the mansion have been changed around.

The second treasure room is accessible from the roof top. Use the elevator in the toy chamber to get on the roof, the go all the way to the right and climb up on the chimney. Fall down and you will land in another treasure roomContributed by: Lizalfos

Mice for money !
If you are looking to get an 'A' grade you need to find all the golden mice. To find the mice, go into 1st person mode with the gameboy horror and click onto hidden cheeses with the A button. These cheeses can be found in:
The second floor study behind a desk.
The first floor dining room underneath a chair.
The second floor dining room at the back.
The first floor room with the crystal ball behind the fortune teller.
The third floor trophy room behind a chair.
The second floor corridor near the stairs to the attic, you hear a chime and a mouse runs up the corridor. (You do not need to find cheese for this one).
As soon as you click on a cheese a mouse appears, go back to third person view and suck up that mouse quick for much cash and the occasional gem.
The mice can only be caught before the lights come on in any room. So get the mouse and then the ghosts. If you miss the cheeses the first time around; after the third boss when the lightning trips the power and the mansion is in darkness again, go mouse hunting, although in some rooms now there are loads of ghosts, so it's not so easy as it was first time round.

Money From Plants
After you get the water element, water every plant and bush you see. Each one can give you from 20 dollar bills to a giant gold diamond.

Using the Warp Mirrors
In several rooms, you may notice that there is a mirror there. If you search a mirror with the GameBoy Horror, you'll be warped back to the 1F Foyer. Note that this does not work with the mirror in the Mirror Room, though.

Treadmill key
In the room with the weights, punching bags etc.. there is a treadmill. Run on the treadmill and you'll get the key to the hall door just to the left of that room.
With the hall door unlocked you won't have to run around the backside of the house to get to the stairs that lead to the second floor.Contributed by: SuperHippo

Blue Ghost Locations
Aside from gold mice, there are also blue ghosts that have loads of stuff in them. They appear in the following locations:
- Wardrobe room in the closet on the right side
- Study in the chair behind the desk (knock on the chair)
- Breaker room, under the sheet on the table (must be done before the power outage)
- Storage room in the chair on the right (knock on the chair and aim high)
- Dining room in the dish shelf on the left
- Kitchen in the oven on the left side
- Recreation room in the machine located at the bottom right
- Nana's room in the chair on the right side of the room (may have to knock on the chair)
- Billiards room in the table on the right
- Cellar in boxes at the left of door (be on your toes for this one because if you don't catch it right away, it is hard to chase in this room; this is one of the harder ones to catch, especially if you forget that he is in this room)
- Sealed room in the chest at the far right
- Hidden room in an "empty" chest (you can only catch this one once you make the power go out)
- Twin's room in the bunk bed (may take some vacumming; aim high)These are listed more or less in the order that you will encounter them
Just like gold mice, you can only catch these in the dark. The best thing to do is to catch all but one of the ghosts in the room and to go after the blue ghost after that. Another thing about the blue ghosts is that they have 10 hp and as soon as you discover them, they will fly around the room. If you shine your light on them and fail to catch it, reset your game -- you only get one chance to catch each one. If you do not shine your light on it, it will keep flying around the room until you do so. Remember, you only have one shot to catch it.Contributed by: Ch@osDr@gon

How to find out if a door is fake.
Suck your vacuum on a door before you open it. If it shakes, then it's real; if it doesn't, then it's fake.
Also if you use fire element on a fake door, that will make it vanish.Contributed by: rudilouis

Easy Mr. Luggs Fight
After you light the candles on his table, suck up his food, and dispatch his ghost waiters, Mr. Luggs will begin hurling fireballs at you. But you don't have to deal with his fire at all. Simply walk out the door into the hall, facing outward so hanging ghosts won't spawn near you, and listen for Mr. Luggs to tire out. Once he stops spewing, go back through the door and defeat him as normal. Repeat as many times as needed.

Chauncey Death Glitch.
Once you have beaten the first boss, Chauncey, hold up right on the control stick. You will be behind the chest if you are doing the glitch correctly. When you are behind the chest, activate the vacuum. As soon as you let go of R go forward. If you have done this correctly, you will be in between two floors. You can now go to F1 early. There is a glitch with this glitch where you can beat the game in 15 minutes. Really complicated buttons tho.

Get the game over message without Luigi shown fainting
If Luigi opens a fake door and gets slammed into the wall and loses all his health from that, you'll see the message, "Good Night!" but it shows as Luigi reverts back from his flattened self, and won't collapse to the floor out cold afterwards, then the screen fades out back to the title menu.

Walkthroughs & FAQs
Luigi's Mansion Cheats For 3DS
-
Hidden Mansion Mode
After completing the Game once, then go back to your completed Save File, you can access the Hidden Mansion from the Menu at the Lab.
Unlike the Gamecube Version, this Hidden Mansion is much more difficult as all Ghosts, Portrait Ghosts, Boos, and Bosses have increased HP
This HP increase is their base HP + half their Base HP (Example: A Ghost with 30 HP, is now at 45 HP)
Speedy Spirits also appear in different rooms, all rooms have different Ghost setups (such as 3 Red Grabbers appearing in the 1F Washroom instead of 2 White Grabbers), and Bosses are much quicker, and in some cases, have new patterns.
Finally, hearts can only be obtained through capturing 2 or more Ghosts at once as all Hearts in Vases and other furniture has been replaced with Poison Mushrooms.Contributed by: thegamemaster8

The Treasure Plant
As you know, using the Water Medal to water plants yields Treasures, but there's one plant in the Mansion that yields a lot of Treasure including a Gold Diamond which is worth 20,000,000G.
In Area 2, once you get the Water Medal in the Kitchen, head to the Boneyard outside and water a seed in the garden until it grows a sprout.
Once Area 3 begins, the sprout will have grown into closed flower. Water the flower until it blooms.
Once Area 4 begins, the flower will have grown into a party ball-like form. Water it to get the Treasure.
Beware however, if you miss any of these steps, the plant wilts and you get nothing!Contributed by: thegamemaster8
-
Treasure from the Boos
There are 50 Boos in the Game, 15 of which make up Area 3's Boss, Boolossus. If you capture all 50 in one playthrough, you'll not only get some praise from E. Gadd, you'll also receive a Gold Diamond which is worth a whopping 20,000,000G!

An appearance by the Polterpup
If you have any Luigi amiibo (SSB, MP10, etc.), scan it at the Lab. Doing so makes a Gold Bone appear next to Luigi's HP. When Luigi's HP drops to 0 and that Gold Bone is still there, you'll see the Polterpup from Dark Moon appear to revive Luigi.

Exposing Fake Doors
There are various Fake Doors throughout the Mansion. When Luigi attempts to open them, they'll slam him against the wall and do damage and make him lose Coins. If you suspect a Door is a Fake Door, use the Vacuum on it. If it doesn't shake, it's fake. Alternatively, just check the door's position on the map. Fake Doors can be destroyed with the Fire Medal, though they'll respawn later on.

Unlocking Ranks
When you complete the Game, you'll get a new Mansion that changes in Rank depending on how much Treasure you've collected.

Here's how much you need you need for each Rank.

Speedy Spirit Locations (Normal Mansion)
Speedy Spirits are Ghosts that look like Gold Ghosts, only colored blue. They hide in furniture in dark rooms and pop up when you inspect the furniture they're hiding in.
When they appear, they'll quickly flee around the room in the opposite direction Luigi is facing before ultimately disappearing. At this time, you need to flash them, stun them, then suck up their 10 HP to capture them as quickly as possible.
When captured, they'll expel a lot of Treasure for you to collect. However, if they escape, or you clear the room, they won't appear again until you start the Game from the beginning.

Gold Mice Locations
There are total of 10 Gold Mice in the Game.
When vacuumed (not destroyed) with the Poltergust, an explosion of Treasure will be expelled for you to collect. If they are captured on a single Save File, they won't be back until you play from the Start of the Game.
If they escape however, you can try to get them to appear again so long as the room or hall they appear in had not had it's lights restored.
There are 2 ways to find Gold Mice, randomly and with Cheese.
5 Random Mice have a 25% of appearing in some halls and some rooms when you enter them, while the other 5 will appear when you inspect wedges of Cheese hidden in some rooms with the Game Boy Horror.
