A worthwhile online addition to the MGS name. Very enjoyable but lacks a few essentials to make it perfect.
Metal Gear Online is the 2nd online instalment of the Metal Gear Solid series (though the first on the PS3). It was released alongside MGS4 in June '08. Gameplay: 7/10 The gameplay is done well, overall. It borrows... Read Full Review

MGO uses the MGS4 engine to bring pure multiplayer Metal Gear action to the PS3.
Before you can actually play the game you need to patch it (which took me about half a day to download), then set up a Konami and Game ID – yes, two separate IDs with different passwords via a web portal on your PS3. Thi... Read Full Review

Metal Gear Online is a game that is easy to play but hard to master.
When I started playing this game, I was surprised by how it incorporated MGS4 gameplay elements. The CQC system is almost the same, although the enemies I faced were much harder than any AI. After a lengthy installati... Read Full Review

Metal Gear Online is H.A.R.D. with a surprise.
Metal gear online is so hard that it could be almost as hard as Demon Souls! But that's going a bit too far. In MGO, you have no idea how to level, you have a hard time because you die constantly and you never really lea... Read Full Review

Its mainly for the hardcore metal gear solid fans.
The online is nothing like the game, The 1st thing is you have to level stuff up, and I understand its like being a new PVT in the Army, you don't know how to fight, or you don't know how to shoot as good as the Sergeant... Read Full Review

It's like MGS4 without cutscenes. No great story. All great fun.
Well my review deck pretty much summed this game up. If your looking to play MGS4 without cutscenes (because all you guys other than me seem to hate cutscenes so much you want to stab Hideo Kojima 50 times in the face an... Read Full Review

Ok...so I personally enjoyed MGO a few weeks until one day the scene pack...from that moment on it was annoying and not playable. Its hard to level up u have to spend hours and hours to get to 15 lvl! The good things... Read Full Review
