1. Dodge Ocelot's Bullets

   During the boss fight against Revolver Ocelot, try looking at him in First Person View. When he shoots at you, you'll notice that the bullets either go slightly to the left or right of you. While you're in First Person View, pressing either the Left or Right shoulder buttons will cause you to sidestep in that direction. So if Ocelot fires to the left, press the Right shoulder button, and vice versa. If you time the button inputs correctly, you'll dodge his bullets, and he'll be left wide open as he reloads.

2. Early Thermal Goggles

   Normally, the Thermal Goggles are locked behind a Level 4 door on the 2nd floor of the Tank Hangar. Most players pick it up via backtracking much later in the game. However, you can get it as early as your first time in the Tank Hangar. In order to get it, you need to get the SOCOM in the Heliport truck beforehand. The door for the Thermal Goggles will be wide open. If you didn't get the Heliport SOCOM, another will be where the Thermal Goggles normally are. If you obtain the SOCOM using this second method, simply go back up the ladder into the upper vent, and then reenter the Tank Hanger a second time. The room will reload, and the Thermal Goggles will be where they should be.
   
   The latest you can get the easy Thermal Goggles is after the DARPA Chief encounter, but before Revolver Ocelot. That particular timing works on Normal difficulty, but may change on harder settings. Getting the Thermal Goggles early can be very useful. They help you see pit traps on the floor, the Tank Hangar lasers, Claymore Mines, Sniper Wolf, Cyborg Ninja while he's wearing optic camouflage, etc.
