Metal Gear Solid 1 Snake
To unlock the Metal Gear Solid 1 Snake camo, one much import their Ground Zeroes to Metal Gear Solid V and must have beaten the mission "Deja Vu" on hard in Ground Zeroes. This camo turns Snake into a polygonal version of "Solid Snake" from Metal Gear Solid 1. This camo gives the same bonuses that the "Sneaking Suit" provides.

Easy Way To Get The Foxhound Emblem
The requirements for the Foxhound Emblem are to do missions repeatedly with total stealth, and no kills. An easy way to bypass this is to replay Mission 11, CLOAKED IN SILENCE, a couple of times without executing Quiet.

A systematic way of managing staff
Managing staff in MGS V forms a large aspect of the game but the sort function is rather rudimentary and frustrating to navigate. This is the method/habit I eventually developed to streamline the process. (The whole process should only take a minute or so to dismiss all the staff once you get use to the control.)
1. Go the All Staff tab and sort by Skills (Ascending); the order of skills will be:
Staff without skills ⇾ Miller, Ocelot & Quiet ⇾ Medical (Counselor, Physician & Surgeon) ⇾ Diplomat ⇾ Harassment ⇾ Boaster...
2. Say, you want to remove all the staff with Harassment, toggle the Switch Display (T on PC) until you using the profile view that shows the staff's skill, then use the right arrow to fast-scroll through the non-skilled staff to Diplomat/Boaster section then use the up/down arrow for minor adjustments accordingly.
3. Hold the ‘Select/Deselect’ key (G on PC) while up (if arriving at section from Boaster) or down (if arriving at section from Diplomat) until you get to the next skill section (i.e., Diplomat or Boaster). If done correctly, all staff with Harassment skills will be selected (bar those on deployment, in sick bay or brigs)
4. Press the Change Assignment button (Space on PC) and dismiss all of them.
I find this approach helpful because the useful combat/research related skills are separated from the useless skills. Boaster is effectively pointless since max Lv iDroid reveals a Boaster's true rank and FOB players will just fulton everyone if they want; Diplomats basically becomes "non-skilled" staff when there aren't any Harassment staff on Mother Base.Contributed by: Leaderofrouge

Quiet Boss fight Trick
Quiet is a sniper and she will always be stationary waiting for a chance to get a hit on you. That being said, it's possible to order a supply drop on her position to stun her. After a few seconds she'll change her position. Ordering a supply drop on her new position for a second time will stun her completely and you'll have defeated her in 2 hits. This is also effective in completing all mission tasks for this mission *This doesn't work in the Extreme Version of the boss fight*

-
Miller Time Paradox Game Over
When you start the first mission in Afghanistan, Ocelot warns you that Miller will be dead in 3 days. This is not an exaggeration; if you wait 3 in-game days and then try to rescue Miller, you'll trigger a cutscene in which Big Boss finds his body, followed by a Time Paradox Game Over screen.
Contributed by: discoinferno84
-
Say The Magic Words
When you rescue Miller, don't rush for the helicopter. Instead, take your time to walk around. If you don't let yourself be seen for long enough, Miller will start talking. There is a chance that he'll ask you to "say the magic words." There is no onscreen prompt for this, but you should immediately press the Y button. If you do this, Big Boss will say his iconic, "Kept you waiting, huh?" line.

-
Tranquilizing Ocelot
Whenever you see Ocelot on Mother Base, try tranquilizing him. There are a few different phrases that he'll say if you keep shooting him. These include the La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo and train station quotes from Metal Gear Solid 2, and 2 plus 2 equals 5 from 1984.

-
Mother Base Construction Zone
If you look around Mother Base while it's under construction, you'll come across a sign that warns you that it's a construction zone, complete with an image of a box falling on someone. Instead of walking away, stand still right next to the sign for about 10 seconds. Eventually, a box will materialize in the air and fall on Big Boss.

Mission 4 Sequence Break
Mission 4 tasks you with destroying all the communication equipment at the Eastern Command Post. However, there is an alternate method. Instead of starting the mission, go to the Eastern Command Post via Free Roam and destroy the equipment. Then go on the iDroid, select the mission, and then activate the mission box like you normally would. Miller will start explaining the mission objective, only for Ocelot to interrupt and say that it's already been done. Miller will be confused, but congratulate you. The mission will be completed, but you won't be awarded a rank.

Mission 6 Alternate Strategy
Mission 6 involves retrieving the Honey Bee, a special rocket launcher. You're tasked with tracking a jeep of Soviet soldiers who are taking their prisoner to Da Smasei Laman and stealing the Honey Bee for themselves. But if you have a vehicle and a high-powered weapon at your disposal, you make this process go much faster. As soon as the mission starts, quickly drive to the Mountain Relay Base. You'll find the Soviet jeep in the middle section. If you can eliminate all the soldiers and get the prisoner away safely before they reach Da Smasei Laman, it'll trigger a hidden cutscene in which he'll pinpoint the exact location of the Honey Bee. This eliminates a lot of the tracking and guesswork from the mission.

-
Mission 6 Failure Scene
Mission 6 involves finding the Honey Bee, a special rocket launcher. The usual strategy is to track a jeep of Soviet soldiers who are forcing their prisoner to guide them to the Honey Bee. With some careful stealth, however, you can intentionally fail this. Rather than save the prisoner, keep tracking the group all the way to the Honey Bee location at Da Smasei Laman. If you don't get spotted and allow the scenario to play out, the Soviets will kill the prisoner and take the Honey Bee. But instead of grabbing it for yourself, let them leave. If you wait long enough or use a Phantom Cigar, it'll trigger a unique Mission Failed cutscene.

Mother Base Exclamation Mark
When you're on Mother Base, open the iDroid, focus on the Support Platform, and then zoom in. You'll see that the central architecture is in the shape of the iconic exclamation mark seen throughout the Metal Gear Solid series.

ACC Medical Attention
If you let Snake board the ACC after he's gotten a serious injury, his usual character model will load with him having an IV drip attached to his arm. If you let Snake board the ACC after getting two or more serious injuries, he'll have a blood transfusion instead.

-
Psyching Out Guards With The Box
If you allow yourself to be seen walking with a box on top of you, the guard will radio in to his superior and exclaim that he sees a box moving on its own. The superior will casually dismiss him. If you do this enough times to the same guard, he'll eventually convince his superior to give him permission to fire. Immediately jump out of the box and slide away without getting seen, and watch the guard shoot the now empty box. Instead of taking the guard out while he's distracted, let the process run its course. The guard will then radio in, admitting that it was just a box after all. His superior will recommend that he gets a psych evaluation.

-
Drowning Enemies
If you knock an enemy unconscious and they land face down in water, they'll eventually drown instead of waking up. This can also be done with enemies that you knock down into water and hold at gunpoint.
Contributed by: discoinferno84
-
Throwing Magazines In Reflex Mode
If you're in Reflex Mode, try throwing a magazine and aiming directly at your enemy's head. If it connects, it'll instantly knock him out, and even count as a headshot. That way you don't have an unnecessary kill, and you can save ammo if you're running low.

-
Stunning Mother Base Fish
When you're on Mother Base, the game prevents you from using explosives. However, Stun Grenades are the only exception. Find any area overlooking the ocean, angle the camera down so you can see the water, and throw a Stun Grenade. Not only will it explode underwater, it'll cause a few dead fish to go flying out as well.

-
Water Pistol Tricks
The Water Pistol is supposed to be a joke item. However, it can be very useful. It can put out campfires to give you more darkness to hide in, short out power generators and communications equipment, temporarily distract guards long enough for you to go for a kill or takedown, and will briefly cause Skull Units to stop moving.
Contributed by: discoinferno84
-
Rain On The Skulls
Before you go into a mission against the Skulls, use the weather modification option from your Support Team to make it rain. The Skulls will be so distracted from drinking the rain that they'll stand still long enough for you to kill them.

-
D-Horse's Hidden Skill Against Vehicles
When you get D-Horse's bond level to 50%, he'll learn the Do It skill, which allows him to defecate on command. This actually has a specific use. If enemy vehicles run over D-Horse's manure, they'll instantly spin out and temporarily crash, giving you the perfect opportunity to launch an ambush, rescue a prisoner, etc.

Mission 18 Alternate Cutscene
Despite how the game presents the objectives, you only have to save one of the six children in Mission 18. Once the helicopter comes for the exfiltration, you can choose whoever and how many you want, and intentionally leave the rest behind. This will be reflected in the mission's ending cutscene, where it'll be altered to only display the children you've brought along.

-
Mfinda Oilfield Smokestacks Intel
During Mission 13, use your scope to look at the smokestacks at Mfinda Oilfield and call Ocelot for the intel. He'll explain what they are, the chemicals involved, and their impact on the environment. But if you keep calling him, he'll eventually get confused. He'll ask if you've never seen a chimney before, and caution you not to go play Santa Claus.

Frying The Man On Fire

Alternate Eli Introduction
If you haven't acquired a Kikongo interpreter by the time you confront Eli, Big Boss will speak to him in English in the cutscene instead.

P.T. References
There are a few references to P.T., which was the teaser for Silent Hills, a horror game that Hideo Kojima would've directed. The first is the P.T. radio news broadcast can be heard in the tent just before the entrance to the Ngumba Industral Zone. If you leave some Skulls alive when you rescue Code Talker in Mission 28, the radio in the mansion will be playing P.T.'s ending monologue. Also, the cassette tape titled 204863 is actually music from P.T.

Bathing Big Boss
If you spend more than 5 in-game days without returning to the ACC, Big Boss will start to smell so bad that he'll attract flies. If you go back to Mother Base, Ocelot will greet Big Boss by dumping a bucket of water on him. If you have Quiet in the ACC with you when you return, it'll trigger a special cutscene in which she showers with Big Boss.
Contributed by: discoinferno84
-
Dancing In The Rain With Quiet
If your bond with Quiet is at least 80% and you return to Mother Base while it's raining, it'll trigger a special cutscene in which Big Boss and Quiet dance in the rain.
Contributed by: discoinferno84
-
Delayed Return To Mother Base
If you take a break from playing the game for several days, a special cutscene will activate when you restart. Ocelot will chide Big Boss for being away for so long. Depending on your progress in the game, this scene will also include Diamond Dogs or D-Dog at different stages of his growth.
Contributed by: discoinferno84
-
Happy Birthday Cutscenes
If you return to Mother Base on the day you chose for Big Boss's birthday, you'll trigger a scene in which Miller, Ocelot, and a few Diamond Dogs will sing a song and give Big Boss a cake. Depending on how far you are in the story, Huey and Code Talker will be present as well. Also, Quiet will wish Big Boss a happy birthday in a separate cutscene. She'll shoot the letters HBD into a crate of cigars, and even light the one in his mouth by shooting it.

Capture Wandering Mother Base Soldiers Easily
Wandering Mother Base Soldiers are difficult to capture using conventional methods. However, there are a few items that make it much easier. If you have either the Paz's Humming or Love Deterrence tapes, set them to play with the speaker on. The soldiers will be drawn to it, recognize you, and allow you to CQC them. Letting them see you walk around with a cardboard box on top of you will yield the same results.

-
Golden Kansai Big Boss (JP Version Only)
If you equip Big Boss with at least 4 gold items in the Sortie Prep menu and start a mission, he'll say some unique lines using the Kansai dialect. While Snake is silent in the English version, the subtitles are still present.

-
Killing Ocelot Time Paradox
If you shoot down your own helicopters, it normally just results in a loss of GMP and heroism points. But if you shoot down your helicopter during Mission 29, it'll trigger a Time Paradox game over with Miller yelling at you. This is because Ocelot is onboard for that mission instead of staying back at Mother Base. This is the only known instance in the game where you can actually kill him.

Mission 29 Roof Strategy
Mission 29 tasks you with defeating a group of armored Skulls at the airport. Beating it can be made considerably easier by taking advantage of the terrain. As soon as the mission starts, abandon Code Talker and immediately run to the airplane hangar on your right. You'll find a ladder on the far exterior corner of the building. Skulls aren't programmed to climb ladders, so you'll be to mostly escape them by going atop the roof. As long as you stay near the middle section, you should be out of range of their bullets and giant boulder projectiles. However, they can still summon rocks to burst out of the roof's surface, and will rarely do their teleporting attacks. But as long as you keep an eye on your position on the roof, you'll be able to easily pick off the Skulls in only a few minutes. This method works on both the regular and Extreme versions of the mission.

Fulton Container Extraction
Once you've upgraded the Fulton enough, you'll be able to steal entire cargo containers. But if you want a quick exit from a mission, stand on top of the container, attach a Fulton, stand next to it, and hold down the action button. Big Boss will grab the Fulton's cable and ride the container into the sky, eventually extracting himself.

Squirting The Man On Fire
During Mission 20, you'll have a boss fight with The Man On Fire. Normally, your objective is to stun him long enough for the helicopter to land and extract you. While there are a few different methods, his secret weakness is actually the Water Pistol. Despite being a joke weapon and weak compared to the environmental traps in the mission, it actually causes a little bit of stun damage with each hit. If you manage to squirt The Man On Fire at least 80-90 times, he will collapse into a stunned position. If you've upgraded your Fulton to have Wormhole functionality, you can even extract him while he'll stunned. This will trigger some unique dialogue with Miller and Ocelot. It won't be successful, but it will remove The Man On Fire from the battlefield and allow you to exfiltrate from the mission at your own pace.

Throwing The Man On Fire Off The Cliff
During Mission 20, you'll have a boss fight with The Man On Fire. Normally, your objective is to hit him with water to stun him long enough for the helicopter to extract you. However, there is an alternate ending that can be triggered if you have the right kinds of weapons. Lure him to the edge of the cliff on the far end of the map. If you have a shotgun, you can blast him over the edge. If you have the Water Pistol, you can stun him on the cliff, then get into the nearby jeep and ram him over the edge. But if you're quick, you can lure him to the edge of the cliff, quickly dodge his grabbing animation, run back to the jeep, and ram him before he recovers. Regardless of which weapons you use, throwing him off the cliff will instantly end the fight, allowing to exfiltrate the mission at your own pace.

CQC Stealing And Hold Ups
There is a secret alternate method to hold someone up. Instead of aiming a gun or grabbing them from behind as usual, try attacking with CQC. As the animation is happening, press L2. Big Boss will actually steal the enemy's weapon and hold them up with it.

Kojima Productions Poster
In the hospital prologue of the game, reach the end of the first hallway section, just before the room where Big Boss tries to stand up by holding onto the bench. Stop crawling and angle the camera so you can see above and to the right of Big Boss's body. Zoom in and you'll see a poster for Kojima Productions that's partially hanging on the bulletin board. You'll have a second chance after The Man On Fire cutscene; Big Boss will retreat down that same hallway and grab the handrail. If you angle the camera to see to the left of his body and zoom in, you'll see the poster.

Electrocuting Enemies Without The Stun Arm
Whenever it's raining and you're close to an electrical pole, try knocking it down with a vehicle or explosive, or just shoot the power lines loose. Since the ground is wet, the fallen power lines will instantly electrocute any enemies that are close to it. However, the same applies to you, so make sure that you're a safe distance away. Alternatively, you can shock enemies standing in bodies of water by placing and shooting an EMN Mine near them.

AI Pod Secret Quotes
After you extract the AI Pod to Mother Base, you can find it on the R&D Platform. Whenever you're close enough, it'll start quoting The Boss from MGS3. However, you can take it a step further. If you shoot it with a glass-piercing weapon (only non-lethal ones can be fired on Mother Base), it will have a whole different set of quotes. It can scream, say some of its old quotes from Peacewalker, list the Japanese train stations from MGS2 and incorrect digits of pi, count down to its deadly-fail system mode, and recite, "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog." This trick can also be performed whenever you replay Mission 12: Hellbound, where you first encounter the Pod in Huey's lab.

Secret Camo Images
Some of the FOB Bonus Base Camo options and uniforms have hidden images that can only be seen by looking closely in specific places. If you want to find them the easy way, all of the images in the Base Camos can be found near the Diamond Dogs logo on the Command Platform. Base Camo #1 has a FOX Unit logo tilted sideways. #2 has a snarling dog's head. #4 has a miniature olive green Diamond Dogs head logo. #5 has a dog's head profile with large, dark brown spots for its eyes. #8 has a light brown running dog. #9 has 8-bit Solid Snake infiltrating Zanzibar Land, as well as a Zanzibar Land Guard from Metal Gear 2.
If you customize your ACC with the Splitter camo, there will be an extra Diamond Dog's head near the tail. If you equip it on Big Boss, this image will appear on the back of his right shoulder blade, partially hidden by his straps. Also, the Squares camo has the image of the Cardboard Box from the original Metal Gear on Big Boss's lower back.Contributed by: discoinferno84

Killing Eli Time Paradox
If you manage to knock Eli off of the boat during his boss fight, he'll instantly die. It'll trigger a Time Paradox game over screen, and Miller will berate you.

Eli Boss Fight Skip
The typical approach to the Eli boss fight is for Big Boss to sneak aboard the boat and confront him. It even has cutscenes, making it seem like the only way. However, there are other methods. When you're heading for the boat, make sure you're not seen. Don't go inside; instead, stand on the dock on the far end so you can see inside. You'll be able to mark Eli and watch his activities. If you wait long enough, he'll fall asleep. You can then sneak aboard and hit him with stun or sleep weapons, then exfiltrate him without any fighting. Just be careful not to touch the lantern next to him, because it'll fall over and wake him up. Alternatively, you can hit him with the Rocket Punch while he's awake and not in Alert Mode, which will stun him with one hit.

Eli Boss Fight Alternate Strategies
When you're fighting Eli, you have to chase him around the boat and keep using non-lethal methods until the game triggers the ending cutscene. However, you can cut down on some of the chasing by using The Hand Of Jehuty; it will grab Eli and bring him to you, but will also trigger one of his knife quick time events. Also, you can end the fight by sneaking up from behind and CQC throwing him. Not only will it stun him, it'll skip the ending cutscene because it can be done in different places on the boat.

Rocket Punching Armored Soldiers
Armored Soldiers are some of the toughest enemies in the game due to how much damage they take. Instead of trying to fight them or going through the effort of holding them up, simply punch them in the head with the Rocket Arm. They should go down with one hit.

-
Rocket Punching Quiet
If you're having trouble with Quiet and don't want to rely on the supply drop method, try using the Rocket Punch. You have to aim it directly at her, and the camera will pan out if done at long range. Quiet won't shoot it down or dodge it, and it'll take her out non-lethally in only two hits.

Missions 16 And 37 Quick Strategy
Missions 16 and 37 task you with finding and extracting a convoy truck somewhere on a predicted route. However, you can skip this by going directly to where the truck starts. It's located on the northwestern corner of Nova Braga Airport, in front of the small garage next to the power supply panel. Enter the airport via the northern entrance, climb atop the roof of the terminal, then drop down from the corner onto the other side of the fence. The truck will be right in front of you. Approaching it will trigger a cutscene. Instead of fighting, immediately Fulton the truck and run away. Run through the terminal and out its front door, turn left, and run to the cargo containers nearby. Climb atop a container, Fulton it, and keep holding the action button. This will let Snake ride the container into the sky and exfiltrate. If done correctly and without restricted items, you'll finish the mission within a couple of minutes, and earn an easy S Rank.

Missions 21 And 47 Quick Strategy
Missions 21 and 47 task you with assassinating a specific official at Nova Braga Airport during an inspection of the facility. Normally this involves waiting for a helicopter to land, infiltrating a heavily defended area, tracking down the target, and escaping. However, you can skip all of this if you have a rocket launcher. As soon as the mission starts, run to the top of hill that's just north of the airport. You should be able to see the northern corner of the large terminal building. The very last window on the right is the only one not protected by a blast shield. If you aim carefully, you can fire a rocket through the window, kill your target, and finish the mission in about a minute, without even having to step foot inside the airport. If you're not equipped with any restricted items, it'll also net you an easy S Rank.

Killing Ishmael Time Paradox
When you get a gun in the hospital prologue, try shooting Ishmael in the head. This will trigger a Time Paradox game over screen. But unlike the other similar easter eggs, no one will berate you because you haven't met any other characters yet.

Stopping Sahelanthropus In Hellbound Replay
Mission 12 ends with you having to escape from Metal Gear Sahelanthropus by hiding behind the rocks lining the road, long enough for you to lose the machine and board the ACC safely. If you replay this after you've gotten an upgraded rocket launcher and the Infinity Bandana, however, you can fight it directly. If you hit it enough times, Sahelanthropus will actually break down and catch fire. Miller will praise your unorthodox strategy as well. You won't be able to destroy it completely, but it'll be stunned until you escape on the ACC, and then reactivate for the ending cutscene.

Missions 28 And 48 Skulls Snipers Skip
Missions 28 and 48 task you with infiltrating a mansion and extracting Code Talker. The biggest and most dangerous obstacle is a team of Skulls snipers set up in the forest in front of the mansion. However, you don't have to deal with them. When the mission starts, don't go into the forest; turn right, cross the river, and keep moving forward while hugging the right wall. The Skulls cutscene will still trigger, but they won't be looking in your direction. Keep going until you reach the bottom of the waterfall, and then cross back over to the left side. There is a series of cracks in the cliff face that can be climbed all the way to the top, giving you access to a route leading to the back of the mansion. You'll still have to deal with the regular soldiers and extract Code Talker, but this trick lets you skip one of the hardest parts of the game.

Rain Out The Man On Fire
Mission 20 ends with a boss fight against The Man On Fire, in which you're tasked with stunning him long enough to call in a helicopter and escape. There are many options available, but the most unorthodox strategy is to use the weather itself. If your Support Team is leveled up enough, call them as soon as the fight starts and order them to make it rain. This will limit your score to only an A Rank, but will end the fight in mere seconds. If you want to do it the slow way, you have to throw your opponent off your trail by letting the tunnel entrance detonate, and then hiding wherever you can until the weather changes on its own. Regardless, beating The Man On Fire using rain will trigger some unique dialogue with Miller praising Mother Nature.

Rain Damage On Cardboard Boxes
While in Africa, if you are caught in the rain using any of the cardboard boxes without water resistance (e.g., riding on the back of the delivery trucks), your box will start to crumble with pieces falling off like when you are being shot at. It will eventually break revealing Snake.

The Boss's Statue
Near the end of the hospital sequence, the wall of the lobby will be blown open. Instead of immediately running outside to the ambulance and escaping, take the time to look at the statue in front of the hospital. It's hard to see from a distance, but the statue depicts The Boss on her horse as seen in Metal Gear Solid 3. The concrete base of the statue is decorated with fox heads. This is a nod to the FOX Unit, which was founded by Major Zero and was Naked Snake's unit during Operation Snake Eater.

Catching A Tsuchinoko
Just like its appearance in MGS3, the Tsuchinoko is an extremely rare, almost invisible animal that can only be found in a certain area of the map. Go to the northwestern part of Lufwa Valley in Africa, specifically a quarter of the way east on the route from Outpost 2 (Kungenga Mine, NE Guard Post) going towards 8 (Lufwa Valley, NW Guard Post). You'll find a clearing with shallow river there. Set some animal capture cages in the water, on the shore, on the rocks, etc. Then get out have the ACC pick you up. If you catch a Tsuchinoko, it'll show up in the mission report, and Ocelot will have some unique dialogue to praise you. It's also worth 200,000 GDP. Note that that since the Tsuchinoko is a rare encounter, it may take a few attempts to work.

Cardboard Box Poster Tactics
If you have a Cardboard Box and a Poster, you can actually combine them for tactical use. When you're about to equip a Cardboard Box, an option to attach a poster will show up. Different posters have varying effects depending on the context and distance in which they're used. Having the Poster of a soldier equipped while you're running upright can trick an enemy into thinking you're one of them, though they'll react differently if the soldier is from a different region. They'll also be distracted if you lay down while having Posters of a pin-up model or Paz with plushies equipped. An entire group of enemies will be distracted if you stand up while having Paz's idol poster equipped.

Dual Wielding Ocelot
When you play as Ocelot in FOB missions, try equipping the Tornado 6 Revolver as his secondary weapon. This is Ocelot's personal firearm in the main story, and it will allow him to dual wield guns during FOB missions. If you reload while looking in first person view, you'll get to see a unique animation as well.

Fast Travel With Cardboard Boxes
Just like in the prior Metal Gear Solid games, you can fast travel to different areas using Cardboard Boxes. Whenever you reach a major enemy base, look around for a metal orange platform with a sign next to it. These are the loading/unloading platforms for shipping boxes. Examine the sign to take the delivery invoice paperwork to unlock it as a fast travel point. All you have to do is equip a box and stay on the platform, and a truck will come by and pick you up, then you can travel to any other point you've unlocked. You'll also unlock a few extra features and development items depending on how many invoices you get.

If you play through enough of the story, Quiet will eventually become unavailable. When this happens, you need to replay Mission 11 six times in a row without killing or leaving her behind. This will unlock Reunion: Cloaked in Silence, a special version of the mission. Once you've completed it, Quiet's status will be restored.
