1. Quickly Farm Hailfire Slayer Shards

   200 Hailfire Slayer shards are needed to unlock the namesake Hailfire Slayer, and they can only be found in runs in chapters 3 - 12 on Hurt Me Plenty difficulty. The arduous task of farming Hailfire Slayer shards can otherwise be expedited by speedrunning Chapter 5: Nekravol on Hurt Me Plenty difficulty with the free Demonic Slayer granted to all players during Season 12: Cake Conquest. His Exorcism ability causes demons to explode into friendly laser beams that damage other demons. If you have a high-level Demonic Slayer and gear, the Exorcism beams should be fast and strong enough to instantly wipe out waves of enemies in only a matter of seconds within each stage where enemy waves are encountered, allowing you to do a quick run of Chapter 5 in under 5 minutes for a chance to earn a Hailfire Slayer shard. You may get 0, 1 or even 2 shards from each run of Chapter 5, so some additional perseverance is needed to quickly farm enough shards to unlock the Hailfire Slayer using both the brevity of the chapter and the power of the Demonic Slayer's Exoricsm ability.

2. Ultra-Violence and Nightmare Difficulty Modes

   Progressing through the campaign on the default Hurt Me Plenty difficulty mode will unlock new, harder difficulty modes for earlier chapters, which promise tougher foes and offer a 20 crystal reward for each chapter cleared on a higher difficulty level.
