Mad Kahn

Enable test mode. Set 1st player no damage. set 2nd player one hit kill.When facing Kahn do anything you want. after credits of charicters(after you kill Kahn)
Kahn will return for a 3rd, 4th, and a 5th round, but dont get hit or he will be frozen where he is about to explode and you have to wait till time runs out...Unless you reset, or turn it off.

Glitch: Fatality in the first round.

Enter the Test Modes cheat.
Turn on one hit kills.
Start a 2 player game and choose Kung Lao as one of the characters. The other character does not matter. When the match starts have the other character do nothing and just do the hat throw (back, forward, low punch) for Kung Lao. Then on the second round do the same and for a fatality do the hat throw fatality (hold low punch and press(back, back, forward) then release low punch). Then have the other player continue. Choose Kung Lao again and any other character. When the first round starts do a hat throw immediatly and it will cut the persons head off. You can also have the other player move towards you when you do the move and have their body slide across the floor.

Fight Smoke

When fighting in the ''arena'' in which there is a pathway of stones suspended in air behind you (the are squares), fight any enemy (regular battle or multiplayer) and wait for the ''Toasty'' Face to appear on the side of the screen. If he does (it takes some luck), quickly press down (crouch) and block (start). You will be transported to a battle where you fight Smoke, a masked fighter who has the same appearance as Reptile, Sub Zero and Scorpion, except for the fact that he has smoke surging from his body, and his costume is grey.

Fight Jade

To fight Jade, use only low kick in the battle before the match labeled ''?'' (question-mark). You may block as well. She looks like Kitana and Mileena, but is green and uses fan-blades. Jade will use some of Kitana's movesets.

Make opponent fall off the spikes

You have to be on the spiked roof stage (stage 2 usually) Do you character's stage fatality command, and as soon as the fatality "Du du duuuu" music starts hold down. Keep it held until you see the opponent start to fall off the spikes.

Switches & Soak Test

Enter the code during the story sequence before the title screen. You will hear Shao Khan say "Fight!" to confirm the code was entered. When the Title screen appears, the Switches & Soak Test options will become available. Switches Switches 1 Hit P1: Any attack kills player one. 1 Hit P2: Any attack kills player two. Toasty: This will make Dan Forden's face appear for every uppercut. Constant Acid: The Dead Pool fatality will be performed with a simple uppercut. Easy Smoke: Press Start when on "The Portal" in 2 Player Mode stage to fight Smoke without the Toasty requirement. Easy Jade: Win a round on any stage by using Low Kick only. Noob: This will allow either player to fight Noob Saibot without meeting the fifty wins requirement. Note that you need to be in two-player mode. Hard Player 1: Player 1 health will reset when it reaches zero. Hard Player 2: Player 2 health will reset when it reaches zero. Artfull Scaling: Turns in-game zoom on. Soak Test This menu allows you to change the fighters and stage in the Attract mode. To reset the game, hold Select + Start for about five seconds.

Play pong

To play pong, you must keep playing until you reach the 250th battle. When the battle is about to begin, you'll receive a message that you will enter another dimension. Afterwards, a Pong screen will appear. Whoever earn 7 points will able to continue the game.

Make opponent slide off the spikes

On the kombat tomb stage (the one with spikes all over the ceiling) when it's time to finish the opponent, do your character's stage fatality command, then as soon as the "du du duuuu" music starts, hold DOWN on player 1 and player 2's joystick until the opponent starts to slide off the spikes.

Fight Jade

When you are at the match that is right before the '?' on the match chart, you can fight Jade if the following steps are taken. One of the rounds must be won using only Low Kicks and the Directional Pad. The other round can be won normally. Once you meet all those requirements, you will fight Jade at 'Goro's Lair'.

Fight Smoke

When fighting on 'The Portal Stage' in a 1 or 2 player game, you can fight Smoke if the following steps are taken. Dan Forden must appear at the bottom of the screen and yell 'Toasty!'. Down and Start must be held at the same time right after you see Dan Forden. Once you meet all these requirements, you will fight Smoke at 'Goro's Lair'.

Notes - Dan Forden will only appear after an uppercut. His appearance after an uppercut is random though.

Fight Noob Saibot

When in a 2 player game, you can fight Noob Saibot if the following steps are taken. 50 matches must be won in a row. All of those 50 matches must be won in 2 player mode. Once you meet all these requirements, you will fight Noob Saibot at 'Goro's Lair'.

Secret EJB Menu

After the game has booted up, during the attract mode, quickly press the following sequence of buttons: P1 Block (5 times), P2 Block (10 times), P1 Block (2 times), P2 Block (8 times), P1 Block (2 times). If entered successfully, the secret EJB Menu will appear.

Access the operator test menu without opening the coin door

To access the operator test menu without opening the coin door, enter the button combination to access the hidden EJB menu. When successful, select Diagnostic Tests and perform a CPU Board test. During this test, when prompted, hold either start button to cancel the test. Now back out of the diagnostics menu and you will now be in the main operator menu. Now you can change game settings and coin settings without opening the coin door.

Moving Floor at the Armory Stage

This trick only works at the Amory Stage, to do it make sure to pick Reptile as your character then defeat your opponent and perform Reptile Tongue fatality. Once your opponent's knee hit the floor, the floor will move in the direction Reptile is standing.

Defeat Kintaro Effortlessly

To easily defeat Kintaro without wasting a lot of time, pick Sub-Zero as your fighter. Then lure Kintaro into a corner and wait until he taunt or roar then use ice freeze on him. While he's still frozen, jump to the opposite side of the screen and quickly push Kintaro into the corner then pummel him with low punches rapidly until he is defeated. Rinse and repeat this same step next round and you'll get Shao Kahn all to yourself next match.

Note: This trick works on all versions of MKII except the Game Gear and Sega Master System versions where low punch doesn't exist.

Johnny Cage's Triple Decapitation

When doing Johnny Cage's Decapitation fatality, normally he'll decapitate just one head from the opponent but hold the d-pad down along with Low Punch, Low Kick, and Block and he'll decapitate the opponent two more times resulting in knocking three heads instead of one. This fatality is a reference to his glitch from the first Mortal Kombat game.

Sub-Zero's Deep Freeze Dead Pool Fatality

When fighting at the Dead Pool stage as Sub-Zero, when you defeat your opponent in the winning round, perform the first part of his Deep Freeze by pressing Forward, Forward, Down, High Kick. Then instead of doing the second part of the fatality, hold Low Punch and Low Kick then perform a normal uppercut. Sub-Zero will knock his opponent still frozen into the Dead Pool.

Start at the Living Forest Stage

When you first turn the game on, leave the game running until the game's story sequence appeared which will show the Living Forest in the background. From this point press START and play the game in single player mode. You will fight your first opponent starting at the Living Forest stage instead of the Dead Pool. This trick is helpful if you want to find Smoke early on in the game as by doing this you will reach the Portal stage faster and had better luck finding Smoke.

Secret Fight with Jade

To fight Jade the arcade way, play single player mode and fight up the latter until the match before the "?" box. Then during that match win one round without touching any other button but low kick. If done successfully, a message will appear telling you that you had just found an undiscovered character from the first tournament and will be sent back to Goro's Lair in Shang Tsung's island to fight Jade, an emerald clad female Edenian assassin that can't be hurt by projectile.

Secret Fight with Noob Saibot

To fight the game's secret fighter, Noob Saibot, you must accumulated a 50 in a row win streak against another player meaning winning two gold MKII icon achievements. After doing so you will get a message that congrats you for the outstanding streak and will be sent to Goro's Lair to fight Noob Saibot, a dark figure resembling Sub-Zero that could blend into the background and had a faster speed.

Note: This trick will only work in version 1.1 of MKII for SNES. Trying this in version 1.0 of MKII for SNES will crash the game. To know if you had v1.1, turn the game on, if you see Sculptor's Software logo before the Acclaim logo or if the game had fight demonstration during attract mode then you had v1.1, if you don't see Sculptor's Software logo upon start-up or the game feature no fight demonstration during attract mode then you got v1.0. Both the Japanese and PAL versions are based on v1.1 so this trick should work on both.

Secret Fight with Smoke

To fight the hidden gray Lin Kuei assassin Smoke, you must start a fight at the Portal stage. While fighting there watch out for Dan Forden popping out. If you see him then quickly press Down on the d-pad and START simultaneously, the first player to do so will see a message that they had found an undiscovered character from the first Mortal Kombat tournament and will be sent back to Goro's Lair in Shang Tsung's island for battle. Smoke is basically just Scorpion clad in gray but with faster speed and Reptile's fight stance.
