It doesn't move the genre forward in any way, but Shadowgate is a wonderful return to the early days of adventuring.
If you can look beyond this cumbersome interface, you'll have a great time with this classic brain-buster.
Shadowgate Classic has is that it has not improved with age, and newcomers will fail to see the original charm hidden under the unintuitive gameplay.
