Put disc one in your PC CD-ROM drive to enter the ''Omake mode''.

CD Bonuses
If you put any of the discs into a PC, you'll find several bonuses. Disc 1 contains Shenmue Goodies 2, which features HTML pages with chibi art and animated images. Disc 2 contains HTML pages with the characters' profiles, as well as dev commentaries and concept art. Disc 3 contains HTML pages that feature a CG gallery with wallpapers. Disc 4 contains HTML pages that feature a movie gallery.

CD Warnings (JP Version Only)
If you put any of the discs into a CD player, you can hear a hidden message. Each disc features a different character from the game, who warn you that this is a Dreamcast disc, and that Track 1 is just data.

Own a duck to use in duck races
After the cutscenes when you've finished catching leaves at the temple for the first time, go back and try it again.
If you catch 4 leaves all together (not in a row but actually all at the same time), you will hear a 'quack' and a feather will drop from the tree. Catch it (be ready because it's fast!) and Ryo will notice a duck in the tree.
Choose 'catch' from the selections that appear and then watch a funny (if not incomplete) cutscene.

Beat the game and after the credits you'll be able to watch a video of Shenmue back when it was a Saturn game before it was switched to DC from the arcade section of the Shenmue Collection.

In the Stand Qr. in Kowloon, go to the Moon Child Bldg. Inside go to the 8th floor (orphange). Go inside the orphange and look directely across from the door (where Ren was standing during your first visit here). You should see a drawing/painting (the art) of Sonic and Tails, SEGAs most famous mascots.

View Shenmue on Sega Saturn Video
Beat the game, and then save it when it prompts you to. From the main menu, go to ''Shenmue Collection'' and load your newly saved game. Go to ''YS GAMES'' and the first item should be ''CLASSIFIED IMAGES.'' Press A and you will be treated to a video of the original Shenmue on the Sega Saturn.

These are unlockables for free play (in ""Shenmue Collection"").
* For the YS games (Yu Suzuki games) or Shenmue games, you only have to play the games once and aren't required to win.
* For the Free Battles, on the other hand, you do have to win.

Shenmue Side Story
If you choose the "Shots-viewer" from the main screen, you can view your snapshots by sort, one of which is called "Secret." You fill a page of "Secret" by taking a snapshot of each of the characters shown in the thumbnails. Once you complete a page, you will unlock either a comic or set of images (selectable by picking the gift box icon in the corner).
