Sage/Savory Stat Boost Calculation Error
The items Sage and Savory boost your maximum HP and TP by 5% respectively (10% with the Red varieties you obtain by using a Rune Bottle on them first). However, this boost doesn't account for the fact that Accessories can boost these stats. (For example, if you have 1,000 HP, a Black Onyx equipped boosts this to 1,300. If you use a Red Sage without it equipped, you gain 100 HP - but with it equipped you gain 130!)
Thus, to maximize the boosts from the Sage and Savory items, take advantage of this calculation oversight by equipping your best HP/TP-boosting Accessories before you use the item!Contributed by: Anonymous

Mach Boy Glitch
By using a glitch, you can easily beat the Mach Boy. Start a race, and end it immediately by talking to the host. Wait until Mach Boy returns to the start. He will slow down at the end as he takes his last steps to the starting line. When he is just about to reach the start, talk to the announcer to start a new race.
If your timing is too early, the announcer will make you wait. If your timing is too late, Mach Boy will be facing UP. If your timing is right, Mach Boy will be facing to the RIGHT before you begin a new race. (It may take a few tries.) If this condition is met, the game will glitch and Mach Boy will run straight up, getting stuck on a building, allowing you to breeze through the course. Mach Boy won't be able to finish, granting you an easy win (so long as you stay on the course).Contributed by: NatsumeMan
