Mind-numbing grind-fest dungeon crawl old-school action, for the win!
I grew up on DOS games. One of which I remember very well was the Wizardry series. I understand that these types of games aren't for everyone, but if you love to meta-game and miss the old days where video games expl... Read Full Review

In a year of very few RPGs, The Dark Spire stands out above the rest.
One of the most common complaints of role-playing games since the PSOne era is that they lack the actual challenge that were prevailent in RPGs from the NES and SNES era. Even the old PC RPGs of the early 1980s such as W... Read Full Review

Where the pleasure madness begins.
Overall: You've probably played at least one RPG in your life. Whether it be a classic D&D style game or the cute anime styled Final Fantasy series. Truth is modern RPGs and JRPGs, began in a dimension known as "The 80'... Read Full Review

Wonderful flashback to Wizardry, '80's dungeon crawling
The game engine is pure eighties, the graphics funky and modern (graphic bold images in vivid color on black). I've always enjoyed grinding away and seeing a map unfold before me-- this gives me everything I'd hoped for... Read Full Review

If you loved the original Bard's Tale or Wizardry, this game is for you. In-depth character development, classic dungeon crawling, what more could you ask for? Money is hard to come by, and experience comes slowly...so... Read Full Review

Blatantly old-school, difficult dungeon crawl that is absolutely awesome. (Bonus: NOT ANIME ART!)
While most reviews start off by saying "This game is not for everybody", how about telling you all who it is for: people who like being emerged into a dangerous dungeon where each step becomes exciting and strategic. Wi... Read Full Review
