The King of Fighters '96 Cheats For Arcade Games

1. Team Assists

   If your character is dizzy or being grabbed by an opponent, make sure they're standing close to one of their teammates and press the A. B, C, and D buttons at the same time. If your teammate hasn't been defeated yet, they'll jump forward and attack your opponent, thus giving you time to recover. Unlike the previous versions of this trick, however, the chance of your teammates helping you varies depending on their relationships in the story. Most characters only have a 50% chance of helping you, Iori will only help Mature and Vice, and villains like Geese, Krauser, Mr. Big, and Goenitz won't help anyone. This works vice versa as well; heroic characters won't help the villains. Also, Mature and Vice will help everyone except for Kyo, Chizuru, and the villains.

1. Unlock all Bosses

   On the Takara logo,Press select 25 times ,you will hear a sound to comfirm the code,you will be able to choose Kugara ,Goenitz and Master Karate on the character select screen.

2. AI Autoplay

   From the Game Select menu, choose any option, hold B, then press A. At the player select screen you can now select any AI-controlled character for your side of the fight.

3. Fight as Orochi Iori without codes

   Use a team who had Kyo, Iori and Chizuru, defeat Goenitz as Iori, after the ending, you will fight as Orochi Iori to beat Kyo and Chizuru.

8. DIP Switch Cheats

   Enter these codes when the Takara logo appears when starting the game. These will toggle some DIP Switches in the game; you can see which ones you have enabled in the options menu; a counter reading "DIPSW-XX" is displayed, with the switch ID number being the XX. If multiple cheats are activated, then their ID numbers add up in a hexadecimal manner (for example, $80 + $40 = $C0).

   Effect	Effect
   Hold A+B, press Select, hold Left as well, then quickly press Select 30 times.	Enables all of these cheats.
   Hold A+B+Left, and then press Select 30 times.	Switch 14 - Enables Sound Test (SGB-only) and you can use Select+A/B to use a character's most powerful attacks.
   Press A+B then Select.	Switch 28 - Enables same character usage in Team Play mode. Power gauge increases constantly, sometimes faster than normal.
   Press Select 3 times.	Switch 40 - Unlocks Goenitz
   Press Select 20 times.	Switch 80 - Unlocks Mr. Karate and the Iori, Leana, and Chizuru change code. Also changes the border on Super GameBoy a little.
