Achieve the Good Endings

To be able to see your team endings and fight the last boss, you need to score 2.5 million points or more before Stage 7 starts. If you don't, then you'll get the bad ending.

Timed Training

First, go into service mode and enable training from the settings (set it at a time you'd like)

Before starting the game (after you put in credits), hold either Heavy Punch or Heavy Kick (though usually I hold both since I can't remember which it is) then hit start. If done correctly, you'll select one character for each player, then you'll enter a timed training match in the dojo stage.

Keep in mind that this works for the arcade cabinets only, as the console version already has a training mode.

Evil/Dark Ash doesn't does crouching block very well

Normally, it's very hard to beat Evil/Dark Ash, but he is poor in one thing, crouching block. He rarely does a crouching block, I surely recommend you use crouching strong kicks, it's very appealing for sure.

Select NESTS Kyo, OG Iori, or Mr. Karate

At the Character select screen, you can hold the start button while hovering over certain characters to see an alternate version of them. You can also hit a button while holding start to select them.

Story Mode Shortcut

If you've already beaten Story Mode once and are working on getting the special illustrations for each team, there's no need to play the entire thing over again. You can automatically restart on any scene you've already beaten. This includes Scene 25, where Dark Ash appears. You can simply select the scene, choose whichever team you need, and beat him again. It'll let you skip the majority of Story Mode, and you can get the rest of the illustrations in a few minutes. Note: Once you beat him, do not pause and go back to the main menu; the game won't count your victory. Instead, pause and skip the remaining scenes, credits, and epilogue. Then the game will count it as a full playthrough.

Chin's Drunken Taunt

One of Chin's special moves has him taking a swig of alcohol. Each swig will boost his attack power by 10%, and can stack up to 5 times. The level of his drunkenness is indicated by a counter next to his meter, and his skin turns a deeper shade of red each time he drinks. Normally, you have to input the command each time. But if you do his taunt and it goes uninterrupted, Chin will do 4 swigs in one go. It's risky due to its slow, lengthy animation, but this gives Chin a 40% attack boost with the press of a button.

Benimaru's Shocking Taunt

Benimaru's taunt has him getting fried by a bolt of lightning. While it looks comical, it does have a practical use. If you're at a close enough range, the taunt will do damage to your opponent as well.

Yuri's Hidden Taunts

Yuri is unique in that she is the only character with 3 taunts. She can either do a peace sign, blink with her regular eyes, or blink with anime eyes. The effect is entirely random, so it may take several attempts to see all three.

Bored Kula

If you start a match as Kula and don't press anything on the controller, she'll eventually start yawning out of boredom after the first minute passes, and at random intervals after that. However, the only possible way for you to see this is to either set the match at 99 seconds or higher and put the CPU at the lowest setting, or do it in training mode.

Chibi Icons

You can unlock chibi icons for each character by beating Time Attack with them. The chibi icons will then be unlocked as options in your player profile customization menu.

Extra Custom Colors

You can unlock more custom colors for each character by using them repeatedly in Arcade, Versus, or Online Mode. Every ten times you play, you'll unlock a set of five additional colors. The game counts a character being used as long as they're on a team; you don't even have to play as them. Losses count as well. Also, the EX characters (Classic Iori, NESTS Saga Kyo, and Serious Mr. Karate) all have separate entries from their regular counterparts. Whenever you unlock a new set, there will be a star next to the character's name to indicate the upgrade.

Character Symbol Icons

You can unlock character symbols for each character by completing at least 5 of their trials in Mission Mode. The symbols will then be unlocked as options in your player profile customization menu.

Character Profiles And Winning Art

Each character has two unlockable pieces of art in the Gallery: their profiles and their winning pose art. There are a couple of methods to unlock them. The easiest and fastest way is to play a Versus match; the art for the entire team you used will unlock if you win. Beating Arcade Mode with them also unlocks the entire team's art. But if you use the unlockable, single, or EX characters with any team in Arcade Mode, only the one who lands the finishing blow will unlock their art. That means Billy Kane, Saiki's Base Form, Ash, Classic Iori, NESTS Saga Kyo, and Serious Mr. Karate. For them, it's recommended to just do a Versus match. Also, the art for Saiki's Awakened Form and Evil Ash will only unlock if you beat them in Arcade Mode.

Team Shield Icons

You can unlock special icons that depict various team symbols on shields by beating Arcade Mode with them. The shield icons will then be unlocked as options in your player profile customization menu.

Character Order Shortcut

Before each fight, you're supposed to choose the order you want the characters to fight in. Normally, you press whichever attack button is designated with each character to choose. However, you can skip this by pressing the Start button. The character order will be automatically be arranged by the order you choose them on the character select screen.

Unlockable Characters

There are two unlockable characters: Billy Kane and Saiki in his non-boss form. To unlock them, you need to do a certain number of Target Actions each round in Arcade Mode. Depending on how you do, one of them will show up as a new challenger. Once you've beaten them, they'll be unlocked.

A few characters have alternate EX versions. When on the character select screen, simply highlight them and press the Select button. This will allow you to toggle between versions.

Boss Chibi Icons

Normally, you can unlock chibi icons for each character by beating Time Attack with them. However, there are a couple of ones for the bosses that require some extra effort. The chibi icon for Saiki's Awakened form unlocks when you beat Time Attack with 10 regular characters. Evil Ash's chibi icon unlocks when you beat it with with every regular character. By regular character, this means anyone aside from the EX characters, Billy Kane, or Saiki.

Invitation

The third section of the Gallery is dedicated to a large Invitation image. It's gradually unveiled as you earn more trophies in single player mode. In order to completely unlock it, you need to earn 30 achievements in single player mode.

Easier Method To Unlock Saiki

The standard way to unlock Saiki is to do 5 Target Actions per round in Arcade Mode, and then beati him when he challenges you. However, this can prove difficult due to how restrictive and sometimes random the tasks are. If you're having trouble, simply accumulate 40 Target Actions before the end of the third match. Instead of trying to get it all perfect in one go, let yourself be KO'd; the number of Target Actions you've done will carry over. Keep continuing until you've gotten 40, and Saiki will appear to challenge you.
