1. Sound Test and Item Viewer (Japanese Version)

   Enter the password screen by selecting Continue, then selecting the 2nd option from the bottom and finally choosing any of the 5 numbers there. Enter the following Japanese characters (format is Row #, Column #): - 3,10 - 1,12 - 2,10 - 4,13 - 1,2 -. Then, choose end and when you are prompted with a Yes or No question, choose No (right option). You'll go back to the previous menu. In this menu, press Button 2 to go back to the main menu. Now, press Right and if everything was done correctly, you'll see the numbers increase and the last option will change to something else. Enter that last option for the Sound Test & Item Viewer.

1. Restore Health

   Hold Up on controller two when the Sega logo is displayed. During game play, enter the status screen and hold C. Press Up, then Down.

2. Use the Amulet to max out your Levels, HP, and Gold

   When you are on the verge of raising a level, use the third and final charge of the Amulet on the monster that would've raised your level. The game will freeze for a second, the screen will flash, and your levels, HP, and gold should max out, along with the message that your Amulet is exhausted of it's powers. YOU MUST USE THE THIRD AND FINAL CHARGE of the Amulet for this trick to work!
   
   This trick will not work in boss fights.
   
   NOTE: This trick does not work on the SNES version of Y's III.

3. Level Up

   Reset the game while holding Up, A, B and C on controller 2.
   Start the game with the buttons held down, wait until you can open your status screen. On the status screen, enter the code below

1. Level easy & Make Gold as well

   After purchasing armor, sword and shield head to the entrance to Tigray Quarry. Tape your Y button down on your snes controller. Pass the 2 crawling bugs. Jump over 2 more. Run back and jump over the 2 bugs. Stand on the high ledge and wait for a flying bug to fly by from the left. It has to be the one that flies high over your head. Kill it. If it reappears just keep standing there and kill it again until you level up to where you want to be. As long as it is reappearing this will work. You gain experience as well as gold. You can watch a movie etc.. as your character levels up. You may have to jump over the 2 bugs and then back again a few times before the right flying bug to appear .
