Gangs of London makes up for its iffy gameplay with an awesome story and great voice acting
One thing that I noticed almost immediately is that Gangs of London looks very similiar to the original The Getaway. The character models look great as do the cars and the city itself. If I do have one complaint with the graphics though it is that you cannot see bullets while you are driving. One second I will be driving and the next my car is on fire. This is something that needs to be fixed.
Sound is one place that Gangs of London absolutely excells at. The voice overs are great as well as the in-game music. It is kind of disappointing though that the explicits are edited out, but its not like it is that hard to figure out what the guys are saying.
Gangs of London is all about replay. You can play through the game as five different gangs and if you do enjoy the game there is a chance that you will want to play through all of them. The mini-games are a nice touch but they wont keep you that excited after about thirty minutes with them. I must say that I really did enjoy this game, and the gameplay although problematic at times, really shouldn't be the reason you dont pick up this game. If you like the GTA storyline with some Guy Ritchie thrown in for good measure than Gangs of London is worth your time atleast in a rental.
