Garou: MOW is one of the most balance 2D fighters to date. After 9 years, it's still is a great classic title from SNK.
Pros:
The unique T.O.P system which allow for your characters to pull of devastating desperation moves during which ever part of the match you set, adds a bit of unpredictability for outcomes of fights.
Balance in this game's roster is great compared to any 2D fighter out there on the market. Granted there are a few characters that are stronger then most on the roster, but it's leveled out by the games counter mechanics a various forms of moves you have at any characters disposal.
The storyline, like I mentioned earlier, adds great replay value to the game. Now usually, most people can agree that you play fighting game for the game-play and not the story. But it's good to know that this game has a medley of solid game-play and a story mode. so even if your not into online or local fights, it's still good to play by yourself (But of course playing against people is where a lot of the replay value comes from.
Online game-play for GMOW is where most people will get their replay value from. You have both Player and Ranked matches to choose from, in order to play against people over the world. The -for this game is also a few steps ahead of any other SNK title for XBLA or PSN. The games runs very smooth, with little lag, as long as you play an opponent a with low ping.
Cons:
Online lobby matches would have been a great edition to the game, in order to give a more arcade feel
The game could have benefited from having demos on how to properly counter attacks and perform moves (similar to Virtua Fighter 5)
Overall: Garou Mark of the Wolves is an enjoyable edition for fighting game fans or anyone who missed the game during the Dreamcast release.
Replay Value: Moderately High
