This game is pretty much the same as the old N64 version, it even has the original levels straight from the old game. The graphics by far are the worst disappointment for me. It seems as though there was no improvement in them at all. I wasn’t expecting the arcade’s clean graphics but at least something that doesn’t make you vomit on sight. The sound is nothing to marvel at. There is some music that varies from realm to realm but it’s very repetitive. The only piece of music I liked was the one played while inside the tower because it sounds very heroic. The sound effects aren’t that great either but at least there are a lot and each distinctive. Another thing that I didn’t like was that the manual’s button configuration for special moves (like the charge combo) is not what the actual in game configuration is. In other words, what the manual says and what you actually do in the game is not the same. Although a small error, it shows the effort put into making this game was not very good. But not everything about this game was bad. There are plenty of levels each being pretty long, though easy. The amount of levels and enemies makes it fun to play with 3 other friends but only for a while. Being able to pick different specialty characters and using your main attribute in tandem with your friends adds a bit of strategy to the game. Overall I wouldn’t invest money on this game unless you have friends that are willing to go through the long levels with you, and can bare the hideous graphic underachievement.
Do not be fooled by the low score it was given. It is overall an amazing game. The game play is fun, and while some might find it repetitive, it requires multiple strategies depending on the situation. There are ... Read Full Review
