Another Classic Arcade Hit makes a Comeback on PS3. But is it worth your money?

Gauntlet is one of those classic mainstays of console gaming, and for good reason. Its a fun multiplayer Hack 'N Slash. Gauntlet 2 was the pinnacle of the Hack 'N Slash genre and still stands tall today. While the gameplay is simple to pick up, the game itself is quite challenging. In single player you will need alot of practice and skill to fend off all the creatures in the dungeon. But single player isn't what Gauntlet is about, forget about a story, Gauntlet is all about furious multiplayer action. Grab 3 mates and you are in for a blast of a time. There is nothing like the frantic 4 player matches of Gauntlet. Its a competitive co-op game. You will find yourself fighting over treasure, keys and food all while trying to kill of the vast amounts of enemies in the great amount of levels. While online multiplayer allows you to play with others from around the world, it doesn't come close to the 4 player offline version. But it sure does beat single player.
While Gauntlet 2 is one of the greatest games of all time, its release on PS3 is a bit disappointing. I would of liked a few more added features, maybe a graphical update and some unlockable stuff.
All in All if you are a Gauntlet Fan, this is a must own. If you haven't played Gauntlet before and are in two minds about it, just give it a go. If you have 3 mates and you love Hack 'N Slash games this is a must for you.
