Gauntlet Legends. N64 game, or never-ending awesomeness?

User Rating: 9.2 | Gauntlet Legends N64
Okay, guys. We all know what Gamespot thinks. "Proof that they should be blah blah blah..." Gauntlet Legends on the Nintendo 64 is one of the greatest games of my childhood, ranking up with Mario 64 and Wave Race... Ah, Wave Race... er, anyway... Gauntlet. I remember playing this when I was a wee lad of 9, I think, with my good friend Raven (real name not disclosed). I loved this game, and there was always a comic edge to it when Raven would get "Death in a Can" and be brought down to virtually nil life. "Dead, Dead, Dead..." Ah, good times. I loved playing this game, even though I couldn't save without the Game Pack... I loved getting my barbarian or Wizard to ungodly levels and annihilating everyone in my path... that, and shooting food away from Johnny... even if I died, it was worth it. But enough of my rambling.

When I think of Gauntlet, this game comes to mind for one reason. Unbelievable multiplayer. I would always be the wizard, and Raven the archer... multiplayer had characters set in stone. We would always get to the farm area, with the townsfolk, and never get past... but the playing up to that point was awesome. Sound, not too great, but manageable. Difficulty was not too bad, but not too easy. Graphics were great for Nintendo 64, and all the little details just added to the awesome. In conclusion, I loved it, I'm sure Raven loved it, and everyone else should love it to. So go love it. Now.
