A dull singleplayer experience belies the excellent multiplayer experience to be had with this game. When I first rented this game to play alone I was disappointed by it's lackluster gameplay, uninteresting storyline and poor graphical effects. However, when I encountered the game a second time while visiting a friend house I found the experience much improved. With the addition of two or three more players the game is vastly more enjoyable and I highly recommend it to anyone multiplayer games. It is important to remember that playing with friends in the same room much different to playing with strangers over an internet connection. While online gaming is often more convenient, a great proportion of the people you encounter online are idiots or worse. Furthermore, communication in online games is often too clumsy for fast ingame. For these reasons I strongly suggest that anyone who has been put off multiplayer games by the online experience should give gauntlet legends or other similar games a try.
