It would really be something if Midway could make a really good Gauntlet title. Well this entry in the series isn't the worst but it falls short in a lot of places. Gameplay is pretty good, upgrades and leveling up work fine. Its just really short and over in no time. Not a really good storyline, it works just not a lot of details. Pretty basic overall. Multiplayer works well but it's really repeatative. You can find a little more life in it by playing multiplayer over Xbox Live, not much though. One day maybe another great Gauntlet game will come along. Take an rpg-ish route, a deep character creation, good storyline. What the game does it does well, just doesn't do a whole lot. This game has rental all over it.
