a fantastic game but has no improvements on the first
Gears 2 incase you did not know is a third person cover shooter made by epic games.
The game it's self is very good and tweaks new and old mechanics blend well together.
It may not be ground breaking but it is defiantly fun this is by far the best cover shooter to date which is saying something.
Gears 2 may not always be a family thing due to the gore but you can turn that off in this sequel. Family is something else about gears it is at its best when you are playing with friends or family, it is a shame that it only supports 2 players in locally but you can go online with your buds. If you're not killing your buds then I expect you to help them co-op, that's right gears has a full 2 player co-op campaign and a 2 player co-op hoard mode
Gears take on survival game play and man it is it awesome, with several maps to chose from each with its own strategy and feel. You can play 2 players locally and 8 online survive has never been better
Gears 2 has some fun and innovative multiplayer modes an example being a strange take on capture the flag which involves a civilian with a shotgun that you take down and use as a meat shield to take back to your base. In addition you don't have to be online you can play with bots if you want witch are surprisingly intelligent.
gears of war 2 predictably adds on a very nice extra layer of brutality because of the new take downs for you can use meat shield and have fun exploring your awesomeness at shotgun golf.
Gears 2 not only is awesome but coincides with a fantastic original soundtrack that will be stuck in your head for all time & even more surprisingly there is a fantastic story line to find here if you are like me and pay attention to stories you will love gears of war 2 awesome story.
Gears of war 2 is a superb sequel not an evolution of the formula you have come to love this isn't a COD 4 level of improvement on its predecessor but it is still a hell of a lot of fun.
