Action-packed shooter with interesting science fiction story

It is my opinion that this is one of the best 360 exclusives to date. The first Gears featured tight controls and great game play. The sequel takes these basic elements, and adds a dark science fiction story told through longer and more frequent cut scenes and a much greater variety of campaign scenarios, resulting in a technical masterpiece that is a blast to play. The game could have more challenging boss fights and longer cut scenes, but this would interfere with the basic game play that is so fun, and might make the game frustrating to people like me who cannot stand the button mashing and trial and error involved in some other games. The game is challenging due to its maps, level designs, and variety of enemies and weapons encountered throughout the game, rather then forcing the player to figure out some weird pattern of moves to defeat larger enemies like General RAAM in Gears 1. This being said, I recommend playing Gears 1 first to get a sense for the game play before moving on to Gears 2. I put a ton of time and trial and error into Gears 1; this got me used to the series and I was able to breeze through the campaign in Gears 2 on normal mode in a few days. Cannot wait for the third one.
