Gears 2 is the best game on any console ever!
Introduction

Gears of War 2 first time doing the campaign is amazing. The multiplayer mode is brilliant. And now you can even play Bots on multiplayer. You'll always play this if you buy it.

COG
--------------
The 'good guys' in the story are the COGs. This is the world's army and you are fighting for survival against the 'Locust'. The main characters in COG are: Marcus (the leader), Dom(if playing co-op campaign, one person goes Dom), Cole(the bada*s) and Baird.

Locust
------------
The locust are the 'baddies' in the story. They are fighting against humans. Locust have all sorts of creatures. Some are as dangerous as humans. Some are HUGE and DEADLY dangerous. Some are tiny little things who really just annoy you, but when in large numbers can kill you. Some can fly. Some are creatures you ride on (reavers and more)

Shotgun
---------------
Gears of War 2 is different from other shooters like Call of Duty, for one reason is the shotgun. When using the shotgun you need to get your angles, crouch roll amd timing right. If you just go up and shoot them without thinking, chances are your opponent will kill you.
The key to using the shotgun is-
When you are within 1 metre shoot them.
If your not under cover, avoid shooting from a medium range.
Learn to use the shotgun without aiming. All the pro's do this, and it makes it easier, saves time and if done properly is more likely to kill them.

Lancer

The main weapon in Gears of War 2 is the lancer. The Lancer is the COG weapon. Constantly firing at someone gets them on the ground for you to go and finish off. It is good from Close-Long range. When close its ideal to use the chainsaw attached to it. If you are succesful at catching your enemy with the chainsaw, they have no chance of getting out. Be careful though, as shotgunners can kill you, when close, if your not careful.

Killing

In Gears of War 2 when you kill someone, they don't just fall to the ground with a bit of blood. Their poor little bodies, brains and whatever else they have, gets splattered EVERYWHERE!
It's so realistic, it seriously makes you think that would actually happen in real life.
When you shoot someone on the head succesfully, their brain will splatter and their body will stay standing their for a few seconds, while blood is scooshing from their head, then they will fall to their knees, then the ground, usually.

Horde

Horde is a new game mode to Gears of War 2. In it you are attacked by all sorts of Locust. Big, small, lethal and whatever! All you need to do is kill all the Locust in your way, on whatever map you choose. Then it will go onto the next round. There is 50 rounds altogether. You get achievements for getting to certain rounds.
