Gears of war is a fast paced First person shooter, with great graphics and addictive multi-player. A great buy.

You are Marcus Fenix, a Traitor who is released to save the world from a mysterious race called Locust. Most of the story is found in the game booklet. You join three other soldiers for the COG, the coalition of organized government. Your goal is to stop the Locust form destroying the human race. While the story is not very detailed and short, this game will not disappoint. Throughout the game you will be able to pick up different weapons, the most powerful being the Hammer of Dawn, which can only be used with an open sky and a satellite. Your team isn't very helpful and when they die they will need to be revived, which can be done by getting near them and pressing the X button. The enemies are very detailed and are gory looking. When you shoot them you can blow their arms and legs off, splashing their blood all over the concrete. You can also chainsaw them, which will splatter blood all over your screen. This game is very gory, which most gamers will like.
The multi-player is just wonderful. You can play with a friend via split screen or co-op online. Online lets you play co-op or a team-based multi-player game. The online works as it does when your playing with a friend via-split screen.
The graphics look amazing, utilizing the XBOX 360's power. The blood looks wonderful as do the Locust. The sound is just wonderful creating a mood of suspense and horror. This game has great replay value, there is always someone online and you can always try to beat the insanity mode. I really loved this game and it is one of my favorites in my collection.
