This is what a shooter should be like and I believe sets the standards for future games of the genre.
I have only recently played this due to my absence from console gaming (been playing wow for the last 3 years which I have recently quit due to boredom and for other reasons). To be honest with you I wanted to get a game to play while I wait for Grand Theft Auto 4 to hit the shelves, so I picked this one up. I have to give this game 100% respect and this is by no means a 'time filler' but a brillliant game.
Even though GoW has been out since 2006 this game is still amazing to look at and even more to play. The atmosphere they have created is truly engrossing, you never know what is around the next corner and never want to put it down.
I like to think of this game as Resident Evil 4 on steroids with bigger and badder enemies, weapons and gameplay that is so intense.
Lots of respect out to Microsoft and EPIC Games for making a top notch quality game
