Great game, and has the opportunity to get better!

Gears of War... Great game. Deserves a perfect 10? Close, but no. I saw why it's not a a 10 game, because of Bill Gates rushing Cliffy B's. Company to fast to make it have perfection. But on the positive side, there is a great game play feel to it. Every minute you feel like you're going to die, especially on the second chapter. (If you're into that sort of game play like I am.) This game will keep you on your toes, even on the easiest mode. The weaponry could have a little more variety, but for what it's worth, it's phenomenal. Now, if you haven't played this game yet, you've probably still heard about the chainsaw gun. This is the game's major cling. Every single time you have the opportunity to cut an enemy in a bloody, gorey fashion like this, you feel like screaming your head off and cheering like no other person would. At least for the first month of the game. The co-op play is probably the best you're going to find, but you might get mad at the parts where you need to split up, because if one of you dies, it's all over. Also the graphics and blood and gore content are phenomenal for a game like this. Now this is where it falls, at least what I believe. The game play is awesome, but combine it with a shallow version of what some people might call a story-line, then you get a recipe for disaster. Some people don't even look at it, they just play it for the game play. But for the people that look for the story, you might want to either forgive or forget this game. Another of the game's major turn-offs (And this is the worst I think), is the online mode. The game has a slower paced version of what Counter-Strike Source's play is. It's sometimes impossible to get a connection to a game. And if you aren't that good, you might find yourself in the dead lobby quite a bit throughout the whole thing. So if you're a patient person that likes to play a game for its game play, I highly recommend this game, but if you're not, you might want to rent it, or just forget it.
