Ignore the minor flaws and giltches and you have the best game on 360

User Rating: 10 | Gears of War X360
I have played both the PC and the Xbox 360 versions of Gears of War, and both are awesome. They both have ups and downs. In this review, I will be comparing the games a little bit.

Gears of War starts you in a prison. You play Marcus Phoenix. Your friend Dom busts you out, and from there on, you are put up against hordes of Locusts, which are the enemies in Gears of War. The Locusts come from the ground, so the main mission in this game is to find this device, and figure out how to destroy the Locust tunnels.

The gameplay in Gears of War is a little different then most shooters. You have to duck and cover. You hides behind things, like walls, and then peek out and shoot. You can't play this game like a game like Lost Planet, because if you run out fo cover to long, you are dead. I like the gamepad, better then the mouse and keyboard control, but you have the option to use a mouse and keyboard on the PC.

The Xbox 360 version of Gears of War does not have the extra five levels in the final chapter like in the Pc version, and it does not have the King of the Hill games mode, but the 360 version does have better live support, and a few more achievements. The co op works better in this game, because you do not need two PC's, that can run the game, and two copies of the game, just to play local co op.

The graphics in Gears of War look amazing, the environments and character models look awesome. The nice thing about the Xbox 360 version, is that you do not need a powerful machine to make this game look good. This game looks bad on my pc, but it looks good on the 360. Yes my PC sucks now.

The sound is pretty good. The voice acting is not the best, but it does fit the characters. The weapons sound good when they fire.

The multi player in Gears of War is awesome. It is a bit like Counter Strike, because if you die, you are out until the nest round. But if you get shot down, you always have the chance to revive yourself, or have a team mate help you. There are a bunch of cool maps. A lot if not all of them are taken out from the game. Like I said, this game may not have the King of the Hill mode, and some extra maps, but it does run a little smoother, and has better live support. Plus more people play it. Gears of War has a fun multi player experience that is different than most other games.
