Another great game for the 360's library!
First off, the graphics were incredible when the game first came out and are still incredible now!The game just screams quality as every single texture in the game is done to perfection.The lip synching is excellent and the emotion's on the characters faces are all great.The musical score is incredible and really fits the atomosphere of the game and for the firefights it becomes incredibly epic.The locations are really fitting to the game's "THE WORLD IS FU*KED" attitude" and can go from destroyed city's to underground bases and much more.The multiplayer is presented in easy to use accesable menu's.
Gameplay:
This is the core of Gears of War.If you enjoy games like RE4 and 5 and the GRAW series you will feel right at home here.Simply get to cover and unload everything you have at the enemies.It can be very challenging on hard mode and then even harder on the extra mode that you unlock for beating the game on hard.There is more to it than run and gun however.You will come to certain area's that you must split paths with your sqquad and back them up or vice versa.The weapons are a joy to shoot and the gore is plentifull this game is just a real joy to experience.
Story:
The story revolves around Marcus Fenix and Delta Squad as they fight the horde of Locust invading the planet.The Locust come from the underground and are lead by General RAAM.There are many plot twists and shocks to keep you glued to find out what happens next.
Replay Value:
The Campaign is short but very sweet and it is a joy to play through it again and again.There is plenty of collectables and achievements that will keep you playing for a very long time.But the games main point is its multiplayer it just feels so responsive and easy to play it is great.
