Interesting and Fresh

Gears of War is a next gen game that simply does not plays off of old concepts. It is not a typical FPS dressed up with never graphics. It brings a clever new system to the forefront. It is very much a take cover type game. The take cover controls were suprisingly fluid and easy. The thing was I am used to faster paced FPS and I had a period were I had to get accustomed to it. I think most gamers will. Once you become accustomed to the pace you really respect what the developer did with the game. The easiest way to describe the game is this; 20% Halo 50% Resident Evil 4, 30% Hiding behind things ( taking cover).
Don't believe all the haters out there. I was trying to find reasons not to like this game and trust me it will be the only game in my 360 for weeks to come.
