What a game!

You will notice from most of my reviews that I tend to use the same word quite often. That word happens to be amazing. Maybe it’s because I only review games that I buy and play thoroughly. I only tend to buy games that have gotten positive feedback and/or I am quite interested in to begin with.
With that said I will start by saying GoW is quite… yea you guessed it, amazing! The level of detail in the environments, characters, enemies, everything, is to the highest degree. The level design is high on the scale of greatness as well. The AI for your enemies is unrelentingly unmatched. They are the “Billy bada$$es” of gaming armies to say the least. The game has an interesting storyline that keeps you wanting more and keeps you on track for your objectives. There are instances in the game when you say, “Well I definitely saw that coming.” And more so instances in which you say to yourself, “Holy crap I wasn’t expecting that!” The only true downer to this game honestly has to be the lack of boss fights. There really are only 2. Some may argue that the Berserkers you come across are bosses but if those are bosses, then I am prom queen (and I am a male who graduated high school 2 years ago).
Another downer (I know I said there was only one, but this one is subjective) is that the game is WAY too easy. I know most of you will respond with, “Play insane and tell me it’s easy.” Umm yea, btw I did that. In fact I only played ½ way through easy mode before I jumped into insane. The only reason I played easy was to get used to the controls and see exactly how this game works out. Then I jumped into Insane to give myself a challenge and also to knock out as many achievements as soon as possible. I played through Insane with little true difficulty. I have a couple choke points in each level in which it took me a couple tried to get through it, but that was because I hadn’t played through the easy mode to know what was happening and got caught somewhat off guard. Anyways, to all that own an Xbox 360, this truly is a much buy. This is a must have!!! Just like Halo was the must have for the regular Xbox, this too is a sure to own for the 360.
