GoW is without a doubt the best shooter since Halo.
When the game came out and I saw a 9.6, i realized that it deserved my attention. I watched the video review for it and thought it looked good....but not spectacular. "Im gettin Smackdown vs Raw in a couple of days and that should take up most of my time, I want to beat CoD2 campaign before I get CoD3...and also, Guild Wars holds alot of my concentration as well.
Well I went to the mall this afternoon, went into EB Games for no good or valid reason, saw a lot of GoW on the display case, and then bought it without hesitation.
After getting home from work, I put it in....and was overwhelmed by greatness.

Gears of War is spectacular to say the least. I haven't played Single player yet...just jumped right in multiplayer. One tends to start up the game and just run into battle. That doesn't work for Gears of War. GoW actually uses real military tactics and teamwork has alot to do with whether or not your side comes out victorious.
However, there are instances where you find yourself fightin off 4 guys...and if you play it right...you have a good chance at whoopin their *butts*.
The Graphics are superb even without High Definition. It looked kinda gloomy at first because there isnt bright colors in the levels...but that adds to the appeal.
Overall GoW is a superb action game that should be recognized by all 360 gamers, especially "shooter" fans. Halo revolutionized the "shooter" genre. Now even though GoW isn't an FPS, it definitly is the best shooter since halo.
