I finished the game. A very good game but...

I loved the game. I finished it solo on hardcore and co-op on casual. I'm currently working on finishing it on insane with a friend. The visuals in this game are stunning, rain effects on the forest level are awesome, the underground lighting effects are very cool. Blood is THICK in this game I never turned off the gore because I figured this game was made for gore so why deny myself the chance. Always be able to see the guns you carry is very useful and it looks awesome. Now we talk gameplay your teammates are a burden they die A LOT specially in hardcore and insane, in some situations you are left alone against 4 or 5 enemies and all your teammates are down very close to enemies. I never used the hand pistol or the revolver, there was no need I always had a full machine gun or shotgun so it was useless. Sometimes you got stuck to a wall that you didn't want to but it wasn't annoying it just happens in key situations. The cutscenes sometimes get choppy or cut up but nothing like that happens in the gameplay.
I would've like that the locust had their own types of weapons cause there are only 5 or 6 weapons in the game 2 machine guns that are very alike, a shotgun, a revolver and a hand gun very alike too, a torque bow, rocket launcher and the hammer of dawn. The hammer of dawn is only used 3 or 4 times in the game. It felt like using any other weapon than the machine gun was a waste of time in the sense that its more complicated to kill foes.
The caracters are very buff and are beautifully rendered. The textures on their gear is easy see metal, flesh, fabric. Something I didn't understand is, why are there the same amount of caracters in the locust side and human side, well actually I do know, its because of the online characters so the sides would be even. You encounter the same foes over and over and over until you meet the advanced drone in the underground with his torque bow but after that nothing new.
The story is not very good, they didn't put much atenttion to the story. You get out of jail, get on a chopper and go to see the captain. Go find alpha squad. Put the resonator doesn't work, then by a very strange coincidence Fenix's father had the maps to all the locust tunnels in the world in his "secret lab." Then deliver a lightmass bomb and you save the world. Its that direct! I finished the game in 7 hours the first time the next time I did it in 5 1/2. Its pretty short game.
Online play is a blast i love playing this game online. The only flaw I see is the matchmaking it takes a long time to get into a match.
