BLAMMO!!!!that in one word describes what gears of war is.a big massive blammo! fest.single player is just the beginning of this game.once you complete that in a short but oh-so-sweet 6-7 hours you will then move on to Gears on xbox live.and what a joy to play it is.controls take about five minutes to get use to.they are just perfect,the cover button everything is just perfect.graphics are a sight to behold.while in game Marcus Fenix will be cringing about how war torn and ugly the planet of Sera looks,you will be utterly gobsmacked at how beautiful the visuals look.the lighting on Marcus' armour,the debris all around.now i dont own a hi-defenition tv,i play my 360 on standard defenition tv and i was absoulutly stunned at how good these graphics are.i would go as far as to say they would be better than what ps3 could muster.just amazing.the game plays like a dream.the way you shoot the big meaty gun,ripping an aliens face off with it is one of the best things i have done with a game.covering is very similar to that of perfect dark zero.press A up against a wall and Marcus will put his back to it.press Left trigger and he will pop out of cover and aim his gun.thats another thing about gears of war,covering is just genius.you might find yourself in the middle of Locust fire.is so then running and pressing A will make Marcus dash for cover with the camera angle wobbling in a good way to match the animation of running.you can also invite a freind to join in on the campaign with you.the second player will take control of Dom,Marcus's freind so you can enjoy the single player in the company of a friend.you can also do the campaign online.this game can be bought in special edition box set or just normally.whatever one you choose it dosnt matter you will still enjoy this game...
