Great action game and worth the wait.

Gears of War is everything you've come to expect. And Jebus, it is awesome. Gears is a great action game no matter who you are. The cover system is fluid, and nearly all of my mistakes are user faliure. The guns in the game are cool and satisfying. The chainsaw can sell the game by itself. The other neato gun is The Hammer of Dawn. Basically, you point a laser sight at the ground and a huge laser strike is called down onto your foes. Excellent! The way the game is made makes for a very enjoyable experience, and it's fine for anyone's standards. BUT, there are some flaws that stop this froming being Halo. First, the storyline is virtually non-existant. You start off getting your gear on and (I'm not kiddng) within 45 seconds you're fighting. No grand story, and the way Marcus and pals talk is primitive, to be polite. Second, the difficulty is confusing. Basically, you have Easy, Hard, and Legendary and nothing else. For some people this works, but for me it dosent' feel right. These flaws are overshadowed by the awesome campain and multiplayer. If you are a fan of great action games, this is the game for you.
