Xbox 360's first actual "killer app"!

When I first saw this game way back in E305, I was skeptical. Very skeptical. It seemed Microsoft was hyping this game like crazy and to be honest with you, it just didn't seem like a game that would make it. Man was I wrong. This game seems to be a full package. From an interesting, and fresh campaign and storyline, to its intuitive gameplay involving the "top and pop" idea. Even the multiplayer is really enjoyable.

Ever since Halo 2, I had not been able to find a good multiplayer game to latch on to and carry me until...well...Halo 3. Gears of War turned out to be exactly that. Sure there are a lot of errors in the game, including a lowsy setup for the multiplayer matches, and the ability to join ranked matches with your friends is disabled (unless you're smart and know how to get around that, haha) but those can all be fixed with a patch, which I'm almost 100% sure they are working on right now. Even with thses minor errors, this game turns out to be exactly what it was meant to be....Microsoft's first killer app on their next generation console, the Xbox 360.
