Wow...I knew well over a year ago when the first screens of this game surfaced that Epic had a game on there hands with alot of potential, but man I never expected it to deliever such an amazing experience. First off, the graphics set a new pressedent for all games to come and blew me away from start to finish. The character design, weapon choice and design, level layouts and there variety are all well thought out. The sound effects are top notch and the music perfectly fits the war torn mood and desperation of the games setting. The gameplay is simple and easy to get into and by the time you finish the first chapter most players should have a good grasp on it. Just the fact that players can jump into and out of a co-op match whether online or off is really great. This game is focused on team work and it sure is a blast to play with friends. But if you don't have a friend to fight side by side the computer controlled teamates do an admirable job of taking out targets and watching your back. I was skeptical about the mulitplayer at first especially since I play mostly fps online but this game rocks. I love the fact that the game keeps it small and personal and really emphasises teamwork. You don't live long if you gung ho your matches especially against experienced players but on occasion you can get lucky. I particularly love the mausoleum map and the mansion map. All I can say to sum it up is that this game delivers in everyway and is a perfect showcase title for the Xbox 360 and a great game to tie us all over on live until the big one...Halo 3. Every 360 owner should have this game in there collection because it is just so darn fun to play. Even the single player campaign is full of enough variety and action packed sequences to make you want to complete it several times and I already have. Way to go Epic and Microsoft...this is the killer app. Can't wait for a sequel!
