This may be the best shooter game I have ever laid my hands on!
The graphics of this game is top of the line. The environment is very convincing and the character models look like they jumped right in the game from the real world. Everything has been taken into consideration in this game including blurring the screen when making sharp turns while fighting. Even the camera falters and shakes as you run, giving you a true feeling of war and chaos.
Gameplay
This is where the game soars gracefully! The gameplay is so addicting. The gameplay interface is easy to get used to. What makes this game so lovable is the action it throws you in. You can run and take cover, and from cover you make your assault. This isn't one of those games where you can just run into the middle of action and jump around like a buffoon while killing enemies ( HALO ), instead, it is very tactical based and you have to sometimes sit back an be patient for that perfect shot. You can even blindly shoot your weapon from behind cover just spraying the enemies with your bullets. One of my favorite weapons is, in fact, the grenades. They are spiked grenades attached to the end of a chain and you can throw them, or sling them into your opponent's chest to stick it to them! Oh, and the active reload? An awesome touch by the designers of the game! Active reload is a system that can speed up (or drastically slow down) your reload time. If you are one that gets heavy into the action of multiplayer, then this is the game for you! The multiplayer is top notch and just as, if not more, exciting than the campaign. Multiplayer has a frantic feel to it, but if you are teamed with the right kind of people, then you are in for a blast. Nothing beats pissing off the opposing team! ::::Sound::::
This game has an excellent score to accompany the action. It has a horror/ sci-fi vibe to it. When the action starts up and the music gets to playing, it sucks you right in and it feels like you are a star in an epic movie! As for the sound effects, they are just as convincing as the visuals. The Locust Horde (your enemy) hisses and whispers when they are nearby and if you have surround sound you would swear they are right over your shoulder.
Pros: Very good visuals, awesome gameplay, addicting multiplayer, good sound effects, John DiMaggio (Futurama's Bender) does the voice of the main character!
Cons: Relatively short (campaign is about 5 hrs. long) , somewhat upsetting ending.
