Gears of War, is Great achievement by Epic, and its sets a high bar for the 360 but it's lacks in some areas –

Gears of War, puts together great pieces from other games into one great but short game, and makes them, its own. STORY: You are Marcus Fenix, a beat up solider who, who has been branded a traitor and sent to, prison, now you are busted out by your friend, Dom, who is with you the entire game and in almost the whole game, you will be with your friends, and if you are not then, they are probably laying on the ground or you can't see them, from your position. You are let free from the prison, because, the Locusts are winning the war and you must stop them from doing so. With a squad of pretty much 3 besides you the whole game, will be lucky to stay alive with their aiming but it should be no problem for you to take charge and be their true captain. Now the main problem with this game is the lack of story to it and the game is too short. You will love the scripted story scenes when, it’s going, but it rarely ever gets interesting enough until, you reach a certain part in the game. You can pretty much, take down, the whole game, fairly quickly and the ending could have been allot better, and the story could have been hashed out a lot more.

SOUND: The music in the levels, such as around the beginning, really flows good, with the combat and the silent moments, before a group of Wretchs, comes your way, is quite intense and exciting at the same time. The dialogue in the game is also pretty funny at times, because of the other characters rich nature and the enthusiasm in there voices, really adds to the story.

GRAPHICS: Just stunningly beautiful landscapes and characters. The character facial expressions are simply amazing and Marcus Fenix's tuff guy like, Jack Bauer, type of voice and his expressions are priceless. The Locusts are also very dark, and the Berserkers, look exactly like they should, Very dark and scary looking.

PROS: Sweet guns like the Lancer which is a rifle with a chainsaw attached to it, Amazing graphics, which are usually darkly set landscapes but still realistic in every way, a great soundtrack and the character voices are also great, AMAZING Multiplayer, It is one of the most Intense and Incredile Experince's you will ever have on LIVE. CONS: weak and short story and campaign length, not very many different types of guns to choose from. OVERALL: This game is set in grim and apocalyptic view of the future, and it dos convey it very well but the overall game campaign, length really hamper the feel to it. But nevertheless, this is a game worth picking, up and is defiantly one to have in your collection if you own, a 360 and if you don't what are you waiting for? Theres tons of great games for the 360 that are exclusives and this is another one, that happens to be very fun and an exciting adventure, which is a must get for 360 owners.
