One of the best 3rd person shooters out there

Gears of war is a highly anticipated Xbox 360 exclusive 3rd person shooter. In GOW you play as Marcus Fenix a cog soldier who is in prison for some unknown reason, is released by a fellow cog soldier Dom Santiago,they then meet up with other fellow cog members which will help you along your journey to send the hoards of Locusts back to hell. By this description you can probably already tell that the story doesn't go very deep and is basically just the typical go here and destroy this base type of stuff and it's probably not going to drive you to finish the game but what the story lacks it makes up in the bloodspraying, guts flying gameplay. As mentioned earlier it is a 3rd person shooter not a 1st person like we've grown used to in the past years, and for some people this might turn them off but in my opinion I think that it works better in 3rd person. As you go through the game you will run into locusts which are basically alien type things that pop up from holes underground, anyway you get to slaughter these guys in a variety of bloodthirsty ways including popping off their heads seeing their brains fly everywhere, cutting them in half with a chainsaw that you have at the end of you're gun"did you get that, a chainsaw at the end of you're gun... do I have to say anymore to convince how hardcore this game is?" Speaking of hardcore, you will experience plenty of this when playing through the insane difficulties of the game which are hair pullingly difficult. If you take you're time to pay attention to the music of the game you will find that it's actually quite well done if only it didn't get so darn repetetive and when I say repetitive I mean real repetitive every battle has the same tune to it, but like I said "If you take you're time to pay attention to the music" meaning you'll be so engrossed with all the other great features of the game you probably won't give crap. If you have Xbox live you'll be in for an even bigger treat. The xbox live is extremely addicting and you won't likely be able to put it down for a Longgg time,another "Longgg time" for emphasis. Overall GOW is a must have for any Xbox 360 owner, "You won't be dissapointed"
