Finally something worthy to replace Halo 2...

I was never into the gears of war hype that everyone else seemed to be caught up in and I didn't really have the urge to buy this game at all (in the beginning). A friend told me about how good it was doing (good reviews, nice videos, etc..) and I decided to buy it. I wasn't expecting much, but when I started playing I knew this game would be like the new Halo 2 for me. The graphics were amazing (with a couple of minor exceptions) as well as the gameplay. The sound was near perfect, apart from the fact that sometimes while playing it seemed to practically mute certain sounds. For example: once in a while, while chainsawing an enemy, the sound of the chainsaw and the enemy being massacred would be practically muted when it should be the loudest thing going on at the time. The same thing applied to using the turret. However, these minor problems barey took away from the overall experience of the game. The online aspect was astonishing as well, it's actually all I play now on Xbox Live. It's kind of annoying to try and set up ranked games with your friends though since you can't really invite them to ranked games, they basically have to search for it by modifying their search settings to fit the room your in. Nonetheless, it's still a very fun game online. It could be improved by adding a few more weapons, maps, and different death animations. As for the weapons and maps, I've heard there will be updates that will add more of them which will be awesome since all downloadable content for this game will be FREE!!!
