But the gameplay, sound , language and graphics drives this game to the top. Normal gameplay would have the player to fire a few rounds at the enemy and it dies. But for Gears, normal drones would also require more than half a clip (unless you headshot) to bring it down.
Reloading of weapons is constant throughout the game and the active reload is the innovative way to force player to decide whether to take the risk of hitting the mark to gain extra damage or longer time to reload if player misses the mark. When you hit the mark, you can feel the increase damage of your weapon, which bring another sense of challenge.
Gears is intense on both singleplayer/multiplayer, you cannot take too much damage. And there are instant kill melee attacks which requires player to strategise where he/she should take cover or else you may end up in pieces if another player flanks from the back with a chainsaw attack.
Quotes by the character are humorous and sacarstic, e.g. "Ohh...Thats gonna hurt."."Don't mind if I do"...Thats the reason it is a mature game. After doing so much damage to the enemy and giving such remarks, is bad education..LOL
This game may sometime feel repetitive, but there is some unexpected twist here and there, still keeps the game going.
Gears of War is a must play if you have a Xbox360, or else you will be letting your console down. :P
