Gear of War is a great game, but I'm not sure if it's as good as everyone say it is.

Don't get me wrong, Gears of War is a very good game, but to give it a 9.5 and higher, is ridicules. The graphics are pretty amazing, and the sound it awesome too, the problem I have the game is that it's pretty linear and repetitions. The plot isn't that interesting, though it does do a pretty good job of moving the story along. My real gripe with the game is that it's hard, very hard. That by itself isn't all that bad of thing, but when a game makes things hard artificial then I get pissed off. What I mean, is the game does stuff to make the mission harder then it need to be, by putting you is saturations that you wouldn't normally be in. There were some missions that just seem downright silly. If you can overlook some of the obvious mission flaws, I really love the environment and some of the crazy things you have to do to completely a mission, like pushing the flaming car down the street to stay in the light. Like I said before, the graphic is top notch, though I wouldn't say it's the best I've seen but its right up there. The blood seems a little odd, but nothing I can't handle. The sound again is very well done, and sounds awesome in 5.1 surround sound.
Though I will give these game excellent marks, it seems as if there were things that could have been done in the game to make it easier. Like for instant, allow me to control my team more. I couldn't really do anything with them other then tell them to hold fire and to fire. It would been nice to be able to move them to where I wanted them to be, kinda like you can do in Rainbow 6. So we could flank the enemy, and attack from 2 points.
Overall this is a very good game that could have used more of a tactical option so that the missions could have easier.
