Alright so please tell me, whats the hype about? I think maybe I had my expectations set too high for this game because everyone made it seem like some amazing game for the 360. Now don't get me wrong, this game is amazing, but does not go the distance at all. Don't expect to play this game for a long time cuz after 5 levels and a really easy boss thats it, you beat it! This was the part that really was a shocker. The weapons are okay, you are mostly stuck with some machine gun, fighting the same grunt enemies, hiding behind walls the WHOLE way through. There was a part where you drove a vehicle which was pretty fun. Now im not trying to completely diss this game but I just wish I would have personally rented it. Im not one to go back and beat the game on Super Hardcore mode. It just didn't have that replay value to me. The multiplayer is nothing like I expected either. It's actually pretty boring. I played it a few times and that was it for me. Theres no deathmatch or respawn or runnin' and gunnin'. Some say its because I wasn't good enough at it, but it was because it wasn't fun enough for me. Hopefully when Gears of War 2 comes out it will solve all these things and connect the story.
If you're looking for fun multiplayer, don't get this game. If you want to play a good single player, Id give it a shot and rent it first.
