I cant even think of a suitable title for this game.
So you start off in a prison cell with something crawling above your head making odd noises. A good start to any game id say. The first part of the game is basically a tutorial so you can get used to the controls. You have to get out of the prison block and to a chopper.
The graphics on this game are jaw dropping and i don't even have a high def television. The detail on the characters faces is crazy to look at and when you tear into a locust with your chainsaw the blood on screen is amazing.
Finally characters that look like they are where they should be, its nice to see that instead of putting four weedy little guys against the odds to save the human race. They put four big guys in the game with arms like tree trunks and armour on top of that. Your guys look that part.
Sound, the sound is amazing how footsteps sound hollow on the floor inside the tomb and the music in the game really draws you in as well. I cant remember the last time i played a game where sounds around you made every single hair on my body stand on end.
I like how clever the enemies are in this game as well, i noticed that at one point when it was just Marcus and Dom, and Dom had died the enemy started rushing my position and in turn having me falling back.
Difficulty settings wise i think they done quite well, i played casual on my own for a while but ended up playing two player hardcore with my friend which threw a fair amount of good fights at you where you really had to think about what you were doing.
The two player option is where this game shines most of all. Being able to play with a friend split screen and i have to say the split screen works very well or over Xbox Live which i have yet to try. I like the fact player one plays as marcus and the other player plays as Dom.
Rounding up this really shows off what the 360 can do. This is an amazing game you can't not have it. The graphics will amaze you, the sound your gun makes as it chainsaws through a locust will leave you grinning and the gameplay will sure as hell make you go back for more.
