An amazing overall expierence-Great Graphics, Great Gameplay, Great Online

Gears of War. I have been waiting for this game, with what seems endless hype. When I first heard about it, I was hooked. And then E3 came, and I saw the amazing graphics it was pushing, and I though- No THAT, isn't possible on a game console, but I was slapped across the face. Constintely, the game got better and better looking, the gameplay got tighther and tighther, and the online looked like a blast to play. Well on the 17th of November, I finally got it in my hands, and let me say this is with-out a doubt the best game i have ever played. Better than Half-Life, better than Resident Evil 4, better than any other game. This game is what Doom was to Pc. Lets start out with the graphics.

GRAPHICS
The graphics in this game are breathtaking, from the war torn Sera, to the Locust Mines, everything is rendered in perfect detail. Best of all there is abolutely no slowdown. SOUND
Gears sound is as intense as it's graphics. From the Horrifying Locust's to your steroid laden team mates, it all sounds awsome.

GAMEPLAY
Here is where Gears really shines. The Stop and Pop cover system works well, and is also Intuitive. You FEEL like you are in a battle, and when you get hit, you FEEL the bullets hit you, and your controler rumble. When you blow an enemy into bits with the Shotgun, Hit him with a torque, chainsaw him in half, or stop his face in the ground you FEEL that too.

ONLINE
Online in Gears works rather well, the game is fun to play BUT the maps do get old after awhile. And for some reason, 2 out of 3 times it say "Could Not Connect to the Host"

CONS
Well there are a couple of bad things about Gears. One is the Host problems which I mentioned, and another is that The game is a little short, but that is okay, because it is so fun, that I have played the Campaign over 4 times and am still not sick of it.

In conclusion, I would say that Gears is and AWSOME game, and deserves all the hype and praise it got. I love the game and can't wait for a Gears of War 2.
