Overrated anyone?

My review is long, so bare with me here. Lets start off with single player gameplay. First off, it is pathetically easy. The enemy for some reason seems to want to die. Even on the hardest difficulty setting they just sit there with some part of them exposed not even trying to get a better position. The enemy units are also quite common: the crappy guy, the better trained version of the crappy guy with some upgrades, the rather big guy with a big gun but has a weakness that is easy to exploit, and the overly powerful but incredably stupid boss like character that needs to be killed in a unique way, the very weak yet fast and somewhat strong guy, and of course really big bosses that look imposing and tough, yet have the intellegence of a retarded monkey, and the somewhat unique unit that you don't get to see very often or fight very often, and of course the tough monsters that you don't actually get to fight...ever... Your allies, well your allies are more intellegent then in other video games *cough GRAW *cough, but not overly so. They are smart enough to cover, but are about as good as it as the enemies, but they don't get shot because the enemy can't aim, otherwise they would die even more then they already do. They often let their bravado get the better of them as they go running at the enemy like some sort of suicide soldier with a bomb strapped to them...lacking the bomb part...They also love leaping in front of your fire as you are trying to save their dumb butts, instead getting shot and screwing stuff up because you have to help them. One thing that bothers me is, why can't they medic eachother? Is that too much to ask? The other thing is that, when you kill them and then step on them they float through the air like feathers and land softly and gracefully. (Realistic... huh...) Also, you can't have your allies use...say the rocket launcher which is annoying, escpecially when you want to get rid of it for some ammo after emptying an entire clip into their skull at point blank range. Also, the characters are huge wearing armour that they couldn't possibly wear and not get smooshed into a heap of blood and mush, and use overly large weapons that would break their arms when they fire them. The chainsaw gun, well its uniqueish (not a word but whatever), but using the chainsaw is simple and repetetive, also the chainsaw is way to strong. The last thing is that the vehicle parts are short and should have been longer and cool things could have been done with it but nothing had been. The cover system is pretty good but after awhile it gets annoying covering when you just want to crouch, then stand up and shoot and then crouch again so that you can manouver somewhere else faster. Lastly, the running, the way he is running is physically impossible and the camera angle is horrible. Now lets talk about the visuals and sound. The graphics are getting an 8 from me because they are immpresive, but I have seen better. The character models are good but that's where it ends. To be blunt, the enviroment looks like crap. Textures are clearly re-used and every enviroment is some drap, grayish mess of old garbage and ruined stuff. Some of you may say, well thats because they destroyed everyhting but seriously, after awhile it gets annoying. The blood is horrible and fake, and the chainsaw blood effect on the screen is alright but could be made too look better, that feature would have seemed better if it was first person, because then it wouldn't seem rediculous. The sounds get a 7. The gun's sounds the get the job done, and done well but don't sound quite right. Also, why are all the characters gray? Why not have the humans look different, like make their armour look different so that everything isn't gray. The music is unoticable, thats all I am going to say about it. The sounds of the enemies dieing are sattisfying to here, but can get annoying. The sounds of the wretches has been done before and isn't that imposing, just loud. That's that. On to story. Immersive, thats a laugh. Very cliche. Save the world, enemies could easily stop it but don't, some so called "boss" whom is swept aside like a fly is still alive, plots of revenge which leads to a crappy sequal yadda yadda yadda. I have seen alot better. Now on to the multiplayer. Everyone I played constantly yells "NOOB" and "HACKER", "CHEATER", and a plithora of other rude and often pathetic attempts at trying every time I kill them for the purpose of... um............. still thinking............. no nothing........... make me feel upset? I play alot of shooters and the multiplayer is easy. Everyone seems to love to chainsaw which is funny because I just shoot them in the head with the sniper rifle or the crossbow, or simply blast em with the shotgun. Out of all the times I played (15) I lost once because the people on my team were running out in the open just standing there asking to be shot because of some problem with being on a certain team. The teams are usually stacked against you, but then if your like me and play alot of shooters it is a breeze to slaughter them. Also, the people who win also tend to gloat about it making me not only angry at them, but feeling a little bad for the losers, not really though after all their whining after each round. The hammer of dawn is pretty useless because it is slow to fire and easy to dodge. Gernades are almost useless unless you stick someone with them which is satisfying except for the whining once again. The maps are really small and unbalanced, but yet again, if you play alot of shooters it doesn't matter. If your looking for multiplayer don't look at this game. Well, this game was totally overrated, easy, and has no replay value whatsoever. Really glad I only rented it. I wouldn't recomend this to anyone.
