Overall, easily the best 360 title out to date. With astonishing graphics and original game play this is the game to buy

This is my most important critique in games-
Hell, what can you say? Gears is simply the most bad ass game I have seen. You can either Chain-Saw your opponant in half, blow off limbs with a shotgun, or tag their torso with a grenade. Not to mention the pieces of flesh rolling around, and blood perfectly and not annoyingly splatting on the screen. The levels are very original, with broken cities, underground catacombs or moving trains. Maybe a little repeetive at times with surroundings and enemy situations, but the constant flow of enemies makes up for it.
The co-op is very easy to play, and online co-op is included....always a major positive. Sometimes killing with you friend, instead of killing and getting killed by your friend isn't enough. There are a couple glitches throughout the games, but none enough to put down your controller in disgust.
The online versus has a couple of flaws, including the slow matchmaking idea. Gears should have taken note from Bungie on Halo2 a little more. But I won't complain. The actual online gameplay is fascinating, giving you shots of Adreneline running for cover or winning 4 on 1, when your team was slaughtered. I think that you should be able to hear the other team if they are nearby, or at least make it a host option. But the overall online gameplay is great. It requires a lot of skill, time, and teamwork in order to be a good player, which is a must for any online game.

There isn't much to say...the broad range of texture and realistic graphics earns a quick ten. Sometimes the graphics are so detailed...my 360 has a little trouble keeping up, seeing polygons before details are added on by the xbox.
Sound: 9
Realistic and stunning sound effects. I was a little upset that the Locusts spoke english, and repeat the same simple dialect...they needed their own tongue, or if they had it at least speak it. This brought my sound rating to a 9...I am sorry.
