Lets now talk about the gameplay. In Gears Of War it involves a very unique cover system because you cannot just charge at the enemy guns blazing because you die instantly and in order to survive you have to take cover behind objects such as: walls, a large slab of concrete, sofas/chairs, pillars, a wall of sandbags, cars, trees, fountains and lots more. In GoW they have a small variety of weapons to choose from including the official trademark of the game, a chainsaw bayonet (which is attached to the lancer assault rifle) and it is a devastating weapon because if you approach to an enemy (holding the B button) you will instantly kill it by chopping it in half diagonally.
The graphics in the game are superb because when you play the game everything around you is demolished or on fire or just rubble. The blood effects is really considering the fact that when you use the chainsaw on the enemy blood sprays all over the screen which make it more fun and realistic and when you shoot a locust blood squirts out of them and when you kill them the aftermath is you see a puddle of blood where their corpse lays. Another interesting fact about the graphics is the water. In most games when rain pours on you or when a tiny stream of water falls you from a leaking waterpipe it goes straight through you but in Gears you actually see the water drip on your armor and so on. Also when you throw a frag grenade as it blows your enemy you see the limbs scatter across the floor and you can kick the carcass around.
However the story mode is very good but most people would agree but it is a bit short but besides that it is very good and the cutscenes are very good and the script it well written and is hard on the hardest difficulty and challenging.
The multiplayer is great as you can either do split-screen or online co-op mode on story and also Epic Games have added multiplayer online which is especially fun but there isn't much a variety of online games but besides that it is very fun and makes you play on it for hours and hours.
Overall Gears Of War is an excellent game with a compelling story mode, fantastic graphics and ending, and gives you some fun choices to choose from and is a must buy game and if you don't have this game you don't know what you are missing.
