Epic games were known for making a GOTY back in 1999 called Unreal Tournament which I own. Now Flash Foward 7 years later and Epic games made another Game of the Year called GEARS OF WAR. I didnt own a 360 and really cared less about this game and plus I was dating this hot chick that year and video games werent in my mind. Now one year later Im back in track with video games with a steady job so I was able to buy a 360 and waited to get a used copy of Gears of War for the 360 for 40 bucks since its sill 59.99 to get it new which doesnt make any sense. When I finally poped it in. I was amazed of how sharp the textures look in this game. Now the gameplay, well I couldnt stand the slow pace when I died in two seconds so I couldnt play it as a Run and gun game. I started to like it during the rain level in the game which looks awesome and it got harder which is making me enjoy it better. I also didnt really like the cover system which is a total rip off from Kill-Switch but then agian I played a demo of that game and really appriaciated Gears a lot more. When I played it online, theres to many A-holes that can be racist and theres a lot of little kids doing very annoying things online so that made me stop. I love the experience and it has very good story for a third person shooter. All I can say its worth 40 bucks and I hope Gears of War 2 has that fast pace that Unreal Tournament deliever.
